Is this genuine mae ploy the wording on the packaging is in german ..they should be imported from thailand

I believe the product was produced in Thailand. The English and German language label is just a courtesy to the two main European markets.

What are the ingredients please?

Dried red chilli - 20.5%; Lemongrass - 20%; Shallot - 16.5%; Garlic - 12%; Salt - 13.5%; Kaffir Lime peel - 1.5%; Coriander seed - 1.5%; Cumin - 0.5%; ; Galangal (Ginger) - 7%; Mung bean - 4%; Shrimp paste - 2.5% and Pepper - 0.5%

Is it suitable for four year old child as well? If not can yiu recommend something very mild ?

The strength and heat of the dish is dependants on the amount of paste used ie. 15-20 gms ratio to 1 can of coconut milk is very mild, 30-35 grams is generally medium, and 45+ grams per can of coconut milk I would say was hot. Also when, or if adding Pam sugar/sugar, or lime juice generally can tempers the heat/ chilli element of the dish - trial and testing will produce a dish to suite By the way Mae Ploy in my opinion produce the best and most authentic paste. - Hope I’ve been of help
