What's the best size portion pack for the eight quart Whirley-Pop, 4 or 6 ounce?

are you sure your whirley pop pan is 8 quart (not 6?) I have never seen an 8 quart one. (I use the 4oz for my 6qt popper.) I would love a bigger popper! I am going to look around now!!! I am totally jealous!

Just cut open the top and pour in the coconut oil, kernels, and butter salt. All in perfect proportion. One 8 oz portion pack makes 32 cups, or fills 8 of the 1 ounce bags. A 4 oz portion pack makes half that amount. so 4= 16 cup ur looking at 2oz bag.but from size of machine I have I could pop 2 bags and have room so might be able to get away with 1 4 oz bag.

can you use the popcorn packs to cook popcorn in a pot on the stove or, do you need a popper?

I have been popping corn on the stove top for over 60 years. I have used microwave popcorn and would eat it in a pinch but prefer stove top. I used a heavy pan on high heat for many years and then found I could use a stock pot (thin bottom), just by lowering the heat.

Great tasting quality popcorn

The product is a little pricey but the product is of high quality. It comes with oil and salt and you can control how much of each to use. I have been using this product for over a year and guests always compliment the quality of the popcorn.

Movie popcorn at home!

Tastes just like movie popcorn! I wish they sold the oil and salt separately for extra toppings. I started craving stove top popcorn and I am getting better at getting the temperature right. At just before 8/10 on the dial nearly every kernel pops. We love it. I want a small popper or a whirly pot. I don't think I would like microwave popcorn at all side by side, but it may likely be the quality of this product. The oil and salt are spot on.

Convenient and tasty!

This was a great solution for our new movie theater style popcorn machine! Very convenient and made a LOT of popcorn. The only downside was that it was awkward to pour into the kettle without making a mess. And it was SUPER salty, but for my husband that’s actually a plus 😅For the people complaining about the oil being solid - it’s coconut oil. Put it in the sun or on a warm surface and problem solved.
