Ariete Moka Aroma Coffee Machine Mokina-1358, Plastic, 480 W, White

I bought this as a convenient alternative to my conventional stove top pot. I have to say that despite the mixed reviews here, I am extremely pleased with my purchase. If you are used to using a conventional Italian stove pot you will have no difficulty using or appreciating this pot. The method of coffee preparation and making is exactly as you will be accustomed to. It is clean, efficient, and attractive to look at. It makes a great Italian coffee. However, if you are not used to Italian coffees, in terms of small volume, very strong taste, you will need to dilute the resultant with boiling water to produce a coffee such as Americano in terms of weaker strength and greater volume. The only disadvantage (if it is one) is that the upper white chamber is made of hard plastic and I did worry if this might "taste", I have not found this at all. I have no difficulty in highly recommending this Ariete mocha pot..Buon appetito e buon caffe!!

Excellent little coffee maker for the office, although difficult to pour without spills.

makes excellent coffee, just fill it up and plug it to a power outlet, 3 minutes and your espresso is ready... For better taste, ensure the coffee powder is thinly ground, this will make the difference between a proper espresso and a watered coffee (any Lavazza blend is perfect with this machine, for example). Update 24.11.2015: After over one year of continuous usage, the product is still working well, no significant marks to the exterior, while interior is perfect. The plastic handle (which is a common problem with cheap machines where it may break easily) is holding well, although we tend to use the machine carefully and pay attention not to pull too strong.

I have been hesitant buying this but it’s amazing. We have been using for 6months now, still going strong. The coffee is ready in 3 minutes, no noise, very easy to clean, and tastes good every single cup. The top part is plastic but doesn’t feel flimsy. Very good design and strong make. Wish they made a bigger one as it only makes two small cups if adding milk or one decent cup of black coffee. The filters might need changing soon but I have no clue how to get replacement.

Makes good coffee

It's easy to use and makes good coffee, but after six months the upper part of the machine split. It's made from plastic and I think it just isn't strong enough to last when it's screwed on tight. Once it's split, it's finished and I had to bin it. I will go for all metal construction next time.

Firstly i would like to state the master of toys, whilst taking approx. 2 months did give me a full refund so thumbs up for them. This mokia pot works fine, but has some design faults one being fairly major. After about three weeks you needed to fiddle with the rotation of the pot for the electric contact to work, this is due to the pot not seating well on base. The real major problem is the plastic used for the top half of the pot. If you use at least once a day you will stress the plastic which will split, like mine at that the bottom where it connects with the base. The twisting motion needed to connect the two parts together causes the splitting to occur.

first when making the coffee as described in the micro handbook I was quite displeased, the result was weak coffe with absolutely no taste. Thing I had made a bad choice I was about to pack it up a send back when my hotplate failed me, so in desperation I made the coffee in the ariete, my way, one normal measure of ordinary ground coffee in the four cup holder, water up to just under the safety valve and switched on, rather than the rather long time it took with the recommended method , my pot was ready and a couple of minutes and produced an English size coffee cup of excellent coffee, so all is forgiven, but I continue to make coffee my way! and recommend the ariete to anyone who likes coffee in a full cup , black and strong!

This pot looks cute and it does the job. Makes good coffee
