Twin Peaks: A Limited Event Series (Ltd Edition Packaging) [Blu-ray] [Region Free]

25 years. I'll see you in 25 years. I was so stoked when a 3rd season became announced. Also to learn that Chromatics were involved so not only a new season however also stashed with sheer beautiful new music. I don't want to use spoilers here for people who have not seen it yet. I watched the 3rd season on Showtime via Play More and am watching it again right now. Episode 8 blew my mind. I had to see that various times all over again. This was not an episode. This was a mind trip. A rush of blood to the head. Lynch is one of my heroes. All 3 seasons of Twin Peaks are amongst the best TV series ever made. It is the combination of mystery, (sci-fi) horror (?), romance, comedy and just sheer beauty. My favorite quote was by Albert. Diane is sublime. Harry Dean Stanton broke my heart. Others too. Such sublime and intense acting performances. And the extra's on this blu ray box. This is it. Everyone is hoping on a 4th season however i am satisfied. If this is is it. This is it.

Wow, just wow. After waiting 26 years for a third season, David Lynch and Mark Frost return to create a wholly memorable experience. The atmosphere, mystery and disturbing beauty of this season is almost entirely surprising and will hopefully be remembered as a high point in modern TV, just as the original is remembered as a high point in 90's TV programming. This season definitely deserves to be next to the first two as my favourite show of all time.

We were so worried! As fans from the beginning we were certainly not expecting this to just start off where Series 2 finished. David Lynch wouldn’t do that. Baffling beyond words is what you’ve come to expect from him. Certainly not for everyone and I wouldn’t recommend watching this without seeing Series 1/2 and Fire Walk with Me first. For me though this was TV event of the year. Beautifully packaged with loads of extras (that I haven’t watched yet).

A new series of `Twin Peaks` goes stylistically and artistically well beyond the original? You woud think you were dreaming if you saw it, and, maybe you are, but there it is. The creativity sparks off the screen in every frame, it`s like `The Outer Limits` reimagined by Salvidor Dali cut-up Burroughs style with a hard nosed modern crime drama. At its heart `Twin Peaks` is a modern fairy story and the cosmic themes about the struggle between good and evil are the ships engine, although the engine is sometimes buried deeply in the bowels of the ship. This series truly crashes the barrier between art and television and leaves everything else in `the golden age of television` gasping in its wake.

A masterpiece

Easily the best cultural event of 2017 is made even better by this blu-ray release, with unmissable and incredible documentary footage of the making of Twin Peaks - The Return. The features on the last disc are way beyond my expectation, exceptionally crafted, revealing and intimate. Absolutely brilliant!

Amazing! lovely packaging (very inventive) and the show itself is stunning, who'd have thought they could resurrect this so well! The discs themselves are nicely and clearly laid out and you can watch episodes 1&2 and 3&4 as feature length episodes or individually which is a nice touch.

Amazing new series of Twin Peaks. David Lynch gives the viewer not what he wants or is expecting. He surprizes you every episode. Just like a lynch fan would want. Best series ever! Lovely blu ray box will garantee repeated viewing over the years.

Pas mal de gens posent la question des langues. Je viens de recevoir le coffret : en audio, seul l'anglais est disponible, même chose pour les sous titres : sous titres anglais uniquement. En dehors de ça, le packaging est joli et original. En ce qui concerne la série, c'est du Lynch, du très bon, sensible et intelligent à la fois. Certains trouvent ça "bizarre", un terme généralement utilisé à défaut de vocabulaire pour définir quelque chose qu'on ne comprend pas. Pour ma part, ce n'est ni bizarre, ni incompréhensible, mais ça n'essaie pas d'expliquer tout. Ca demande de faire l'effort de s'adapter à une manière d'aborder la narration qui ne cherche pas à racoler ou séduire à tout prix.

Ce n'était pas du tout le Twin Peaks que j'espérais ou que j'attendais. Dérouté, frustré au premier abord, je me suis permis d'ouvrir mon esprit, et de prendre en peine tronche la folie et le talent de Lynch (Ô cet épisode 8.... Du génie !) Je comprends que certains ont détesté, mais au final, pour moi, cette 'saison3" est une claque magistrale. David Lynch ne m'a pas donné le Twin Peaks que je voulais, mais le Twin Peaks dont j'avais besoin. 5 étoiles, malgré le design, créatif (mais moche) de ce coffret.

donc voila le coffret est full English, pas de sous-titre ni d'audio en français, c'est donc parti pour la grosse perte de temps (plus d'une semaine pour être remboursé...) tout ça parce que amazon n'a pas précisé "import anglais"... j'imagine qu'un gros retour en masse va débouler pour tout les français qui ont commandé... pas très sérieux pour un site pro comme amazon (appelé les vous aurez peut être comme moi droit a un bon de 5 euro en guise d'excuse...) dégouté!!!
