I installed this initially--the instructions are somewhat confusing--the damper is already installed on the unit, so don't waste time trying to look for the piece to screw in like the instructions say--but the first time I installed it it was SO LOUD. Sounded like a garbage disposal, and the middle setting was the loudest for some reason. I reached out to amazon and they wanted me to pack and ship it back to get a refund or exchange. That was too much work. So I contacted the seller directly through amazon messages, and they immediately sent me a replacement unit! The new unit is SO quiet, even without all the mounting screws completely installed. Something was definitely wrong with the first one. So if you have a problem, please contact the seller, they have incredible customer service! I replaced an old 1980s hood with this, and it makes a HUGE difference in aesthetics and functionality. I am surprised something like this is so affordable. The LEDs are in the back, and they're a bit cool-toned, but I have other kitchen lighting so I don't mind. This is miles and away cheaper than any other comparable option, value is exceptional. Five stars!!!

Install was easy, is quiet and effective at removing smoke when for some unknown reason cooking food begins to smoke... odd, and looks great! The suction power is stupendous at removing cooking smells, way way better than that silly microwave mounted over the stove. The lights are bright.

Patience! And have a magnet. Trying to connect the little screws, to the wall mounts, is a bit of a battle. AND don't drop them! (Magnet!) Had to use self tapping screws, because the package ones wouldn't tighten enough to keep the top from sliding down. But I couldn't pass on it since it was a black Friday sale. Overall it's nice, runs good & looks nice in the kitchen.

The customer service from this company is outstanding. Arrived quickly and undamaged. It is a good product for the price and easy to assemble mount. I would have preferred the lights to the front of the unit.

Fan is louder than expected. Looks great, however I would recommend that if you want a quieter fan then don’t get this. I gave it a 3 because it looks great

These range hoods in this range are nearly identical in design, sharing the same frame and lighting components. The primary differences lie in the fan motors, dampers, and occasionally the filters. Unlike some models, the "Soonye" unit does include filters and is advertised as having a 600 CFM rating, which seems fairly accurate. The fan is impressively powerful across all speed settings. However, I encountered an issue where the damper holes did not align properly with the frame. Fortunately, I had some self-tapping screws on hand to address this, so it wasn’t a major problem. I deducted one star due to the poorly written instructions, which were essentially useless. I had to rely on the product images on Amazon to figure out the installation process. One important note for installation: when attaching the two top pieces to the wall, you'll need to decide whether to remove the protective blue film before or after installation. Removing it beforehand risks scratching the top piece, but leaving it on makes it difficult to remove completely afterward. I chose to remove the film first and used painter's tape between the top and bottom pieces to prevent the top from falling too far down, resulting in only a couple of superficial scratches. You'll understand this better during installation. Additionally, I recommend ordering some stainless steel cleaner and ensuring you wipe with the grain for the best results.

Appears to be working great after a few weeks. The pull could be better, but for the price it’s perfect.
