Instituto Español Urea Foot Cream, Elbows and Hands - 150 ml

So I’ve been using this product for 2 months now and I am absolutely amazed by the results! I’ve been using it on some thickened skin that had formed on the (top) joints of my two big toes due to poor-fitting footwear.I had tried many creams and oils to soften the skin but the results were minimal. I even resorted to skin-lightening creams at one point as the skin on my joints had become very dark from all the friction.This product is incredible and has dramatically improved and basically cured my skin issues. I apply this cream 3-4 times a week as I don’t think you need to apply it daily due to its exfoliating properties. I’ve tried a 40% urea cream on my thickened skin before and it didn’t work even HALF AS GOOD as this 20% cream!How I apply:- JointsAfter showering, I apply a thin layer and rub it in. After it’s been rubbed in, I apply a second (thicker) layer, rub it in slightly but not completely and I allow it to sit on my skin and absorb on its own. It absorbs fairly quick so you won’t be sat around for hours.- HeelsA thin(ish) layer is needed. Just rub a pea-sized amount into your heels before bed and give it about 2-3 days to see and feel the results. Sometimes it may feel chalky but this is due to its high urea content.- HandsI usually apply this before bed (3-4 times a week). It’s amazing for dry, crusty cuticles and is magical on your nails. It exfoliates dead skin around your nails and and leaves your nails looking shiny and healthy. My hands are now super soft and look amazing.- BodyI don’t apply this to my body every day. I apply this to my entire body 2-3 times a week but obviously feel free to apply it more frequently depending on your skin. I always apply this right after my shower whilst my skin is still wet / damp and allow it to soak in and air dry. Again, it doesn’t take long and you’re left with beautifully soft, moisturised skin.I can’t praise this cream enough! Remember: the chalky, drying feel doesn’t mean your skin is drying out. It’s just the urea doing it’s work. There have been times where I have applied this cream to an extra dry area (elbows), and the dead skin has flaked and peeled after 10 minutes. I just rub the area in a circular motion until the flaky skin has come off and I’m left with softer skin.I can’t wait to repurchase this again!

I really struggle with dry skin on my hands due to frequent washing (due to my job) and applying alcohol hand gel.My cuticles are always a mess leading to me picking at them. I had also noticed the back of my hands were looking a little ‘old’.I read online that Urea is a wonder ingredient for those who suffer from dry skin so I ordered this cream to cry.It’s quite a large tube - for some reason I was expecting it to be smaller. Not ideal for popping in a handbag so I have decided I will apply this at nighttime before bed instead and use my usual hand cream during the day.It has a pleasant fragrance - not overpowering. You don’t need to apply much cream - if you apply too much it can make my hands feel weirdly dry.There is no greasiness to the cream although it is thick.I rub this right into my cuticles and I must say it has been very effective! No bits of dry skin for me to pick at! The back of my hands feel soft and smooth. So glad to have finally found an excellent hand cream. Would love a more travel friendly size though.

Easy to apply and odourless. I ordered and used this Urea cream many times as it was one of the best on the market for price, value and effectiveness. Unfortunately as this item is manufactured and imported from Spain, it is no longer available on Amazon UK.

It is Urea cream. It's cheaper than most. Good purchase.

I had missed the review comments regarding the smell of this urea cream. Unfortunately I find the perfumed/medicinal smell overly strong and therefore the cream unpleasant to use (especially at night). I will stick to fragranced-free creams in future. I have given this cream 3 stars as it does seem to work if you can stand the smell.

I tend to have dry hands on my right hand especially, due to the constant washing of hands my job requires. I got this to try to combat that and it works!. My skin is soft and supple after use and it is easily absorbed into the skin. I really do recommend it for anyone who struggles. It also doesn't leave your hands feeling greasy.It has a mild medicinal smell which I don't mind at all. I'm thinking of using it for my feet seeing how well it's worked on my hands.

Avant cette crème pour les pieds j'en utilisais une autre d'une marque plus connue mais comme elle n'était pas disponible immédiatement j'ai pris celle ci.C'est ainsi que j'ai découvert qu'elle n'a rien à envier à la concurrence, je la trouve même plus efficace pour hydrater la peau de mes pieds soumise à rude épreuve toute la journée dans des chaussures de sécurité.La crème pénètre rapidement dans la peau, ne laisse pas de film gras.En quelques jours je ne reconnais plus mes pieds.La peau est douce, ils sont ''comme neuf''Les callosités bien hydratées sont également plus facile à poncer.La crème s'appliquant avec les mains la peau de celles ci bénéficie également des effets hydratants de la crème.Elle est légèrement parfumée mais ce n'est pas gênant, rapidement le parfum s'estompe pour disparaître dans les heures qui suivent.

Ho acquistato questa crema per trattare la secchezza estrema della mia pelle in alcune parti, la secchezza del gomito con screpolature annesse e callosità. La crema ha una composizione con urea al 20% il minimo indispensabile per questo tipo di problemi. All'inizio, dopo una sola applicazione, non mi sembrava risolvesse molto il problema, ma dopo alcune applicazioni costante la mia pelle è tornata morbida, rimuovendo zone scure, callosità, cute spessa e secchezza. Il prodotto è davvero ottimo ed ha un prezzo davvero imbattibile rispetto a tante altre creme dello stesso tipo. Non ha odore, non ha indicazioni in Italiano, è una crema prodotta in Spagna. La consiglio. Piccola nota: se non avete problemi seri di cute secca acquistate sempre creme con massimo 20% urea per uso prolungato, diversamente una concentrazione maggiore potrebbe creare problemi di lesioni cutanee.

Llevo varios años utilizando esta crema, después de probar muchas otras opciones. Me la recomendó mi podólogo porque tenía los pies muy secos, especialmente la zona de los talones, y la verdad es que he notado una mejora enorme desde que empecé a utilizarla.La aplico de forma constante, sobre todo por la noche, y en poco tiempo la piel empezó a estar mucho más suave y menos áspera. La textura es bastante densa, como es normal en una crema con un 20 % de urea, pero se extiende bien y no hace falta utilizar demasiada cantidad.Con el uso continuado, la sequedad y las durezas han disminuido muchísimo. En mi caso ha funcionado bastante mejor que otras cremas hidratantes normales que había probado anteriormente.Le doy 5 estrellas porque realmente he notado resultados y el envase cunde bastante. Para pies muy secos o con talones ásperos me parece una crema muy recomendable.

I have bunions, hard skin around toe, applied it overnight and after warm soak and it works wonder, softens feet. I highly recomend it if you are facing hard skin/ cracks issue!
