It works as advertised
I bought this wind vane kit and I also bought the suggested mini tripod but I think it came from a separate seller. I really like the two together. The bane kit came with a nice bag so my kestrel 5700 and the wind vane are stored together. The case is much nicer than the little bag the kestrel came with so that’s a nice upgrade. The threaded portion swivels so it screws right into the little tripod. The whole unit is not very tall so you’ll have to set it up on a high spot for a decent wind reading. I have Bluetooth on my kestrel so it can now take measurements and send them to my phones calculator while I’m behind the gun.. really cool piece of gear.
