Handy if you know it exists.
I was replacing a set of dimmers and the new faceplate would not screw back. No idea how the electrician got the first one to fit in the first place. Anyway, this got me out of a tight spot and was really handy.I guess if you're reading this then you already know you need one. At £2.79 and delivered much quicker than the estimated delivery, I'm very happy.

Bought it to use with a double gang socket that has USB sockets built in. It gave the additional space needed for the USB faceplate to fit properly. The beveled top helped locate the spacer easily and it looked and felt good quality.

Did the job!
Somehow, the wiring in my backbox became too much for the backbox. I could perhaps have just crammed it altogether and pushed hard. But better to get this spacer to extend things. Now it all fits together just fine. Except that I had to make a dash to Wickes for longer, 50mm screws. The screws that came with my new dimmer switch was 30mm and wasn't long enough for the switch and this backbox...

Does exactly what it is meant to do
Due to new skirting being higher, I needed this spacer so that I had more clearance for the plugs, works a treat and looks OK, I painted it the same colour as the wall which helps.
