Peekaboo Click At-Home Early Gender DNA Test

This is my first time using the peekaboo gender kit. I was nervous bc of some of the bad reviews. Some people complained that they never received their results: however on the box there are several stickers before you open it to tell you that to receive your results you have to register your box. I’m assuming this is why they did not get their results. Registering was very easy, they have a QR code that you snap a picture of and it takes you right to their site. There are several questions you have to answer and you type in your code and email and you’re done. Simple and easy if people just follow the instructions. As far as the actual blood sample that was easy as well. You have to read the instructions completely BEFORE you start. It addresses a lot of comments from the bad reviews. You simply remove the sticker and pop the blood drawer on your arm. I did have a slight problem here as it says that you push until you hear a click, which I never heard. This lead me to clicking several times which was very uncomfortable. It took a couple of minutes to fill the little tube (which again the instructions warn you about), and I had to adjust my position to get the blood in the tube. Once again this wasn’t complicated. Some people complained that the test wasn’t painless and I agree. It was slightly uncomfortable mostly bc of how many times I pressed it (my fault not peekaboos, as I said read the directions fully FIRST!) it did leave a slight bruise, however after getting my blood drawn at the doctors I frequently bruise, so this was expected. Remember before you purchase and write a bad review that pain is subjective. I took the test and sent it in to fed ex the same day. We received the results a couple of days later, before fed ex even said it would get there. We are having a baby girl. I will update if the test is wrong, but I expect a lot of wrong results are due to two things 1.) testing to early and 2.) cross contamination. The instructions address this as well. Sorry for the long review but I wanted to address some of the bad reviews that almost convinced me not to spend the money on the test. We are a single income family and this was definitely a splurge for us. It’s definitely worth the money, we had no problems. I just want to emphasize that you need to read and follow the directions!!!

I took this test at about 8 weeks. Sent it in and received the results of a girl! We were excited and made the announcement to close friends and family. 4 weeks later my doctor did a test and we were told we were having a BOY. We corrected the result to the close friends and family we had told and waited for the anatomy ultrasound at 20 weeks to see which result was correct. DEFINITELY A BOY!! I was very frustrated that I spent so much money to be told the wrong information. Especially when it claims 99% accuracy after 6 weeks. Take it with a grain of salt I guess. I won't do one of these again and I wish I could've gotten my money back.

It was a great experience! The click test was very easy to do by myself and it didn’t hurt at all! I also thought the process of returning was easy and I got my results back fairly quickly. I’m not sure if the gender is accurate (still waiting for my 20 week ultrasound) but I’m glad we got to know sooner.

It went really well. Super easy, instructions were clear and very fast turnaround time. Only thing is I wasn't fully sure if the needle actually poked through my arm (literally didn't feel it). It was hard to tell on the click of the button but after several tries, I saw that it was drawing blood. Everything else was a breeze.

I was very impressed with how quick the turnaround was. We ordered the test on a Sunday, it arrived Tuesday, I shipped Wednesday morning, it arrived at the facility Friday morning, and I had results the same afternoon. I just confirmed with NIPT that the gender was right, which is impressive considering I was only 6 weeks when I took the test. Of course, I found out later I'm having identical twins, so that might have made it easier to find the fetal DNA. The process for the blood draw went smoothly for me. It did take some time for blood to come out and fill the vial, and I had trouble reading which line I should fill it to, so I just waited until it was mostly full. But it all worked out!

I was extremely excited when I received the product however, I learned as soo as I start using it that the tool was very inefficient to draw blood. I following the instructions thoroughly but as soon as i click the matching on my upper arm I heard the click sound but no blood was dropping so I wasted 15 min like recommended on the instruction and still nothing. Then I wasted another 5 min just to make sure before removing and having wasted the product. Then I tried to relocate the tool however it would not making the clicking sound again and I knew after that there was no way of recovering the blood. I highly recommend to the company in putting another blood drawing device like needle or something in order to be a fail safe just in case the clicking tool doesn't work. I would definitely go with another company. Said I was having a boy but when I was 21 weeks, I was told I was having a girl verified by three different physicians so they lied the peekaboo test.

Totally worth it and got the gender right at 7 weeks 6 days! Comes with directions that are easy to follow and got the results fast. Very effective for finding out the gender of your baby!

Did the test at 8 weeks came back with inconclusive not enough fetal DNA. They sent me another test and said wait at least 1 week before trying again. I took the 2nd test at week 10 and results came back girl. NIPT just confirmed we are having a girl.
