Trust and Issues

First I would like to say Danielle Marcus did her thing! I read the first book and had no intention on purchasing the second one, but I had to know what happened after Co got shot. So the author did keep me engaged. I could not put the book down. The men in this book made me angry, They did have issues, meaning that they could not stop lying, and they were easily tempted. I didn't like the way it ended, without giving to much away, but who gets shot in his kind of story and let's it slide, I expected some shoot"um up bang bang. or revenge, at times the females were rougher than the guys, and more vicious. All and all I enjoyed the book, Brenda Jackson is my favorite author, and now so is Danielle Marcus now.

This book follows the friendship of Atlantis and Jameila and Maya. Atlantis is a beautician and she is very good at what she does. Jameila, is a nursing student persuading a degree in nursing. Maya, is all about getting money from dudes. These 3 have been friends for sixteen years. They had a bond more like sisters. Or so they thought they were more like sisters.Atlantis is in a relationship with Micah. He is everything that she wanted in a man. They have been through a lot to get to the point of being happy. Someone in the past doesn't want to couple to have an happily ever after.Jameila and Rodney have been together for a few years. She has have gone through the fire with him. Rodney has done whatever he wanted to in the relationship. He is so confident that he will always have Jameila. One night changes everything in their relationship.Maya, is all about the money. She is keeping a secret from her friend that will change the nature of their friendship.There were several inconsistencies in the book. One moment a couple has been together for 6 months. Two months pass in the book and they still have been together for months. A character went through something twice in one part of the book and then the next part it was three times.Something I didn't like is when we one character's thoughts are happening and the next thing it flips to another character. The book ended with a cliff-hanger. I will not read part 2. The author did have a good idea for a story. I may check out other work by her in the future.

This book will keep your attention...Three ladies, Jameila, Atlantis, and Mya have been friends since forever. The only problem, one of the ladies has let jealous, envy, and a man come between her and friend. She will do anything to break the couple up.The other lady is having a hard time moving on with her life, without Micah,nsa her soul mate. Can she find a man that can capture her heart, or will she head right back to the man that broke her heart?Can these ladies find true love?

I liked the book but couldn't stand co' s thirsty ass. He was so annoying that I didn't really wanna finish the book. It didn't go like wanted it to, but I loved the ending lol. I was rooting for the one everybody hated #Rodney. Other than Co I liked the other people somewhat. But the girls were pretty full of themselves and thought they were better than everybody, which got on my nerves too lol. Like Rodney said about Atlantis, she think she somebody lol.then what pisssed me off, was when she found out about co and someone, and ain't say s***. overall it was a good ole book. May read part two...

Kudos Ms Marcus. Fans this book was awesome had me at the edge of my seat. Jamelia oh goodness she was confused but gets it together. The heart wants what the heart wants with everyone in this book. Maya is a trick bag all in her own selfish world... until she meets her match. Co is spent off Jamelia, Micah & Atlantis are cute I hope it all works out. And Rodney turns into a nut job after the fact he loses Jamelia. He's tries to get his way by any means necessary....When the well runs dry... Nice flow, good writing. Reading part 2 asap.

It's a thin line between love and hate especially when the one you think wouldn't hurt you always winds up being the one who does it the most. These ladies love hard even if it means settling for less. Jameila is so caught up in Rodney that she doesn't see what is right in front of her while Dacovin just loves her unconditionally on the sidelines. Mya cares about Mya and forgets what true friendship is all about. While Atlantis puts her life on hold for Micah. This book takes you on a roller coaster ride full of emotions.....so get ready!!!

If you can get past Mya's frustratingly blind devotion to a truly grimy, low down dog, you will enjoy this story. The author spent a bit too much time convincing me that Mya was either a fool, or so naive that it hurt my teeth.It's a quick, easy read and fairly predictable; the ending was the only surprise. I didn't see a need for a sequel. I can't say that I'm invested enough in these characters to buy it.

I really enjoyed this book! It was good but not so much to the point where you couldn't relate and enjoy it. Rodney is an idiot and while Co has his flaws I think he's good for Jemelia. Even though I didn't like what Mya did she seems to be changing her ways so I hope she and J Rock get it poppin! Micah and Atlantis deserve each other as well! The erotic scenes were pretty good and the book flowed well. Good storyline and plot. I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys urban lit.

I must say, this book was interesting to say the least! It was a slow start at first and I just wanted to slap some sense into the characters but then it started getting juicy and I found myself hooked!There was a few discrepancies throughout the book and some confusion about which character was talking but once I passed that the storyline had me on the edge of my seat!At times I felt the story could have had a bit more constraint with the amount of 'slang' used from the ladies, but I guess it's the culture of the lifestyle they are portraying.Nevertheless, it was a great read and I'm purchasing part 2 straight away, this cliff hanger has me anticipating more!

Shay and Q - what can I say, love em ... Can't wait for the next instalment. Was really disappointed that its not already available - really hope it's being worked on as we speak. So much twists and turns - so much more to come ...
