Easy to shape material. For some reason the company don't publish the slot sizes, which you would think would be pretty crucial information to have before buying. But I emailed them and they told me the slots go from 0.050 inches to 0.105 inches.The main problem I discovered with these nuts, however, is that they are not cut to standard Fender string distances. The result is the outer strings are placed too near the edges of the fingerboard and can be forced over the edge when playing at the strings middle. There's no good reason that the company would separate the strings wider than Fender and this is the main reason I've decided to replace the Graphtec nuts in my basses. A waste of money and I won't be buying them again unless the company pulls its finger out and issues nuts with the correct string spacing for Fender Jazz basses.

Just recently purchased a graphtech PQ1214 Jazz Bass Nut........Well happy with it, Bass sounds awesome with loads of sustain......WELL HAPPY!!!!!
