Do they make longer ones suitable for holding down a 20ft x 18 ft metal carport? or would these work for that?

Accepted Answer

No. Look closely at the eyelet on these offered for attachment. Maybe 1/4" wire. You want something that would operate at a working load about 5% of its breaking strength, you don't have that. Best advice, read the directions for installing the carport, do what they recommend. I'd be surprised if substantial concrete in the ground is not involved. Talk to their field support. This is not the place to go freewheeling to save time and effort.

Could this be used (for extra support in high winds) to hold down a plastic greenhouse?

I would say yes. I had bought these to hold down a 18x36 carport and it has never moved.
