The item that I purchased came complete with two filters.

Will this fit under my Welding mask and is it suitable for the job

A bit too bulky for under a welding mask . But I have seen welding masks incorporating a breathing filter .

Do these filters fit the 6000 series 3m masks ?

These filters are only compatible with JSP Force™8 half -mask and JSP Force™10 full face mask.

How often should filters be replaced?
