Yes it does. I have mine in the corner of the kitchen. Works brilliantly. I should mention that the speaker has to go on upside down but that is no problem; in fact the manual buttons are more accessible.

Q: Does the speaker part of the bracket fit the wall part from the Play:1 holder?

The Play 1 and Sonos One use different wall mount systems. This bracket is for the One ( the we variant with Alexa) not the original Sonos Play 1. I hope this makes sense... I think Sonos should use a better naming convention!
