I have this on my chicken run and I accidentally put it on upside down (so to "latch it", you flip it up instead of down". I found this to be a happy accident because the chickens sometimes bump the door while I'm feeding them and one day they did it enough to make the bolt go over. Had it been on correctly, it could have latched me inside. It's really sturdy and very easy to put on.

Use this for my gate on my wooden fence. We installed it on the bottom where gate closes, and it helped with keeping my escape artist aka "my Julian" from getting out. This is very easy to install, and lock has held up, trust me, Julian has tried to get back out and is unable to push the bottom gate open. Very durable for the price.

It appears to be good quality and I expect it to hold up for a long time. But, in my case, the bar is too short to actually hold the double gate closed. Please don't screw up like I did and be sure these measurements are correct for your needs. Giving only 4 stars because measurements should have been emphasized more.

Exactly as expected. Good quality, sturdy, easy to install, good weight, and fits perfectly. Really good functionally and great value for the money. Wish it came with extra install screws. Lost one and had to use my own. But such a silly thing. Lol Great product. Recommend.

It's a nice looking product but the receptacle that the slide bolt slides into is too big which gives the door too much play. It allows the door to move in and out when it's wondy outside. I put on a smaller receptacle.
