The two covers are soft and thick. And the inner sheets are a little thinner but resistant. I usually read this book to him before going to sleep, because it shows all the animals that do their bedtime routines. It has beautiful images, simple and easy to look at. I've been reading this book to him since he was a baby, about 8 months old, and up to 2 years old, he still likes every little animal and how he sleeps.

What a great book!!! We got this yesterday and while our almost 2 year old sat on my lap drinking his milk he loved hearing this book. So much so I had to read it twice before he went to bed.
