It is semipermanent as mentioned. Suitable for those who do not mind chemical gentle semipermanent dye

I had to get application instructions from Gemini because none were included. That's odd. Anyway, the application was easy and I got the color to cover my gray, no problem. I ordered a color that was supposed to be dark brown with burgundy highlights. My hair is now CHERRY colored, like clownish. It's very unnatural. My husband says the hair in the back is orange 🙄. I'm going to have to get a dark neutral brown color to balance this out. The big pro is it didn't seem to damage my hair at all, which I'm thankful for. I had (dyed) light brown 4A/B textured hair with about 20% gray when I started.

Excellent rich color! Covers grays and is very vibrant after washes.

Clairol Professional Beautiful Collection Advanced Gray Solutions, 4R Mahogany Red Brown, 3 oz. - Packaging May Vary ($8.80) I had some bleached extensions that were dyed brown but faded to a green! Looking online it was suggested to use a red-based brown to cancel the green so ordered the Mahogany red brown shade. The dye did not take initially after allowing it to sit for 30 minutes. I did it a second time and this time let it sit for longer than an hour and it now looks great. It seems to have worked. No bleeding or staining thus far. Would recommend to others maybe keeping the dye on longer than normal if you have “stubborn” hair like me.
