Great for the RC Hobby
TL:DR It's a great little heat gun for using on shrink tubing. I would buy one again. At first I did not think it was going to work. To my surprise, it worked pretty well. I use it with shrink tubing on my RC cars and crawlers. Pros: Fairly quick to heat up Battery powered Easy to use once you read the manual About the size of a banana Cons: You must the read the manual to understand its operation. It will not get not as hot as a real heat gun. The fan is not as powerful as a real heat gun.

Terrible quality
Would not power on for more than 20 seconds. Getting a replacement was difficult, so I canceled the order all together and sent item back

Works as described in ad
This was purchased for a different reason. This works perfectly as a dew remover for telescopes out in the field. It is small and I can use it numerous times to keep the dew on the front lens down. It is hot and you just have to judge how far away from the lens to remove the dew lasts throughout the night.

Small battery
Doesn't hold a very long charger. Have to carry extra battery banks and can't use while charging.

Helps in small areas but has a short life expectancy
I find it useful for heat shrinks where it is more portable and you won’t get tangled in the line. However while my first one stopped working due to a fall from a finder, my most recent one’s (current one) heating element just stopped working not even a year from purchase. So they don’t have great longevity, I didn’t even us it every day and for only short times of those days. In short they are practical, but have a back up ready in case it just quits. Gladly I had been through that situation once when the first fell and I had to find something in a hurry.

Charging Time: 2 hours | Working Time: 25-28 minutes
This little heat gun has worked great so far! And as you can see in the picture I took with a thermal camera, it really does get up to about 600℉. I realize that the picture only shows the temperature at 574.1℉ but that was the best that I could do. I still don't really have a lot of experience using a thermal camera, and the temperature would fluctuate depending on where I would face the mini heat gun. It sure didn't feel like it was blowing that hot, but apparently it is. It certainly blows hot enough so that I can't keep my hand in front of it. Anyway, it sure is easy to use. However, you might hold down the button for a few seconds and have nothing happen. And that might be because they say to hold down the button for like 3 seconds to turn it on, yet your particular mini heat gun might take holding down the button for a little longer before it starts up. With mine it seems like I have to hold down the button for 5 or 6 seconds. Which isn't a big deal really, as long as you realize that could be possible and to try it instead of just assuming that if it doesn't kick on in exactly 3 seconds then it doesn't work. Well, once it's on with the blue light on, it's just blowing around the room temperature air. When you are ready though, you just push the power button, like the regular quick press of a button, and the light should turn red and the heating element should come on. You will know for sure that it is on because the tip of the mini heat gun will be emitting an orange color. And then from there, you can push the button again and go back to the blue fan mode, and then again to go back to the red heating mode, and on and on and on, lol. When you are ready to turn it off you just hold down the button until it shuts off. Just like powering it on though, it might take longer than holding it down for 3 seconds to turn it off.

Easy use, ready to shrink my tubing!
Added this to my electronics set for soldering last year, got it out today and it was charged and ready to go. The only holdup to just grabbing it and using it was remembering how to turn it on to heat mode. I had kept the curled shield on which really does a perfect treatment on heatshrink tubing. As much heat but 100% better result than using a lighter or something.
