A lovely pen which oozes quality. Although it is quite a large pen the balance is just right with the cap on, but I'm a bit perverse and write with the cap off. Either way it is a pleasure to use. The materials used and the way it is built are excellent. The rollerball refill is extremely smooth and offers no resistance when moving over the paper. I found this a bit difficult to control at first, but am getting used to it. I have used a Parker Sonnet rollerball for years and this is the next level up from that. Also the Parker refill tends to bleed through thinner papers, I haven't found that to be the case with the Cross refills so far.

This pen truly is the star of the show (so far). Superb quality, well balanced, interchangeable refills (rolling ball, ballpoint, highlighter or porous tip) and a pleasure to write with. Outstanding service, well packaged. Great all round experience.

This is an excellent pen and a joy to use. It has a good weight, excellent finish and quality. At the price, it also represents excellent value.So impressed, I immediately bought 3 refills.

Personally I find this model a little on the heavy side to use but still a very fine pen. The Century 11 model is lighter.

I purchased this pen direct from Amazon at a good price but was surprised at the poor quality, especially given the normal high retail price. There was a sharp section of metal at the top of the pen cap and the finger hold section was not aligned with the barrel, so this was uncomfortable to hold (barrel narrower). The pen itself looked nice (very shiny) and was balanced to hold, although the box was far inferior to a much cheaper Cross pen I had recently purchased. I notified Cross but didn't receive a satisfactory response given that it is their product..."return to Amazon for replacement and send replacemernt back to Cross for a modified/new cap if still unhappy"...the cap was not the issue! Evidently Cross pens were much better before they moved manufacturing to China and I have used their pens for decades. I returned it to Amazon for a refund and certainly won't buy another! I note there is a similar review on another Amazon site about the lack of alignment with the barrel, so my experiece is not isolated one.

Well balanced, comfortable. Everything thing that makes a pen a pleasure to use.

PROS:-Gorgeous, classy, and sophisticated!-Writes smoothly.-Owning such a luxurious pen makes me feel good about myself.-The platinum is so shiny I get distracted when I use it! I stop writing and just obsess over how lovely the pen is!-Comfortable, smooth grip.-Comes in a fasionable case.CONS-This pen is somewhat large and heavy. Probably more comfortable for a man to use.

The weight, the feel, the flow are all great! Just what I was hoping for! Great value and came quickly. I lost my Mont Blanc and didn't want to pay the $555 to replace it. So happy with this purchase. Great response from clients who use it!
