CatTongue Grips 8"x12" Non-Slip Mat for Cutting Board, Black, 1-Pack

My coffee maker kept sliding off the counter of our rv when making turns. I put this underneath the coffee maker and it has looked it place really well. It does not use adhesive, so it can be moved whenever desired.

This pad was great price for a great product. It hold my wood cutting board in place on our quartz counters with a good grip. It wipes down easily and fit underneath the board so you don’t even know it is there.

I purchased this for my new Boos Board, which is 18" x 18" x 3" Maple board, which is 26lbs. This is the first wooden chopping block that I've purchased, and I was looking for something to replace a towel to keep it secured when in use. I took this out of the package and threw it on the quartz countertop in my kitchen. While it slid around the countertop when I pushed it with my hand, I became worried it would not grip quartz effectively. That was an incorrect assumption, because once I added some weight to this mat, it did grip very effectively. The issue I had with this mat was that it wasn't large enough for the chopping block I owned. While it did prevent the board from sliding around, my board was now wobbling on this mat, especially at all 4 corners. I could have purchased a 2nd one of these to get full coverage of the 18" x 18" needed to properly stabilize the board, but that wouldn't have been the most cost effective solution to my issue. Ultimately, I returned this and replaced it with this product, that worked perfectly for my situation. "Mercer Culinary M18930 Board Buddyz, 15 Inch x 20 Inch to 18 Inch x 30 Inch, Orange". Overall, this product does indeed grip the countertop as advertised, but the smaller size wasn't the right match for the extra large board I'm using.

This material is soft rubbery plastic with a microfine texture that creates an amazing amount of friction! Things that you lay on it will not move easily. The more contact your item has with the surface the more holding power it has. I used it to hold small pieces of wood in place while cutting them with a power saw. I couldn't use clamps because of various issues, but just placing this mat underneath, added all the anti-slip I needed to keep the wood in place. It lost holding power as my wood cutting built up fine sawdust in the texture, but I simply used a brush to clear the surface and it worked fine again. I imagine anything like dirt or sand, loose material, liquids, oils, grease etc. will likely do the same. So it would be best to plan to use this in a clean environment. This material also comes in an adhesive tape.

We bought new La-Z-Boy sofas with recliners. We love them. The center console between the recliners has a removable table which is great except for one thing - they are slick as ice. I ordered these mats and they work great with these tables. They are the right size and keep items from sliding off the edge. I am very happy.

Useless. It slides on my counter as much as my cutting board did. Save your money.

While this pad has some gripping power, it failed to hold my poly cutting board in place.

The mat works great!

Stops my cutting boards from moving all over the place. Won't even budge with my cutting board.
