I have to say this product exceeds my expectations!!!! I am 34B/5'6"/140lb and a Medium fits me PERFECTLY!! Which I'm so thankful for because buying clothes online is always a hit and miss even though you try to follow the measurement chart as close as possible!! Now onto the dress: HOLY BUTTONS - this dress is lined with them and each eyelet is functional, none are decorative so what I'll do is I will sew the majority shut once I find my fit. That way they won't pop out unnoticed, nor do I have to re-button after each wash. the cotton material feels super lightweight; the dress came in wrinkled (I don't mind) but doesn't appear so once I try it on because it look like it could've meant to be a pleated design. The back of the dress hits the floor just so and the front is a bit shorter, leaving my feet with a pick-a-boo look, this look can be paired with casual flat or dress up with a pair of heels and it'll work for both occasions perfectly. As other reviewers have stated his dress is so flowly and twirlable (which I did a couple turns) that a loose workout shorts or even light leggings will bring you an extra piece of mind in case the slit is high, or you walking down the street on a particularly windy day (although, the way the dress is designed it'll probably give you the perfect Marilyn Monroe effect). One slight - VERY SLIGHT - complain is the expandable waist sits right below my boobs so it creates an empire waist look, which is fine but it won't give you accentuate the waist is that's what you're going for. Just be mindful when/if taking picture sideways because you can look pregnant...

FIRST LADIES!! Wash your dress in a garment bag and use a half cut white vinegar in the wash and the colors won't run. I use a cup in a usual load of all my clothes because fabric softner is bad for your clothes. Ordered this to wear to my grand daughters first dance recital and I'm in Houston in the summer heat. I was so glad this was rayon because it is so cool in the heat! Any time you can buy rayon in hot temps, do it. Which brings me to the first problem I had. This material hasn't been made much the past couple of decades so it's hard to find, but if you hit up the resale store you'll probably find some dresses just like these from 20 yrs ago. Wish I'd done that before buying but why take the chance. My second problem was I wished the belt actually was a belt and not just decorative. I wouldn't have minded being able to tighten the waist a bit, but I was happy with the dress as is. Also I'm a sz 14, 5'6 and got this in an XL and it slid right over my head and hit the floor. I have big shoulders and big arms and a tummy and I loved how this dress fit. You will have to do something about the placket on the buttons, because no matter how much room you have those buttons are going to spread out if the placket isn't laid down and pinned. And there is no reason to undo the buttons if you have the right size, the dress should just slide over and down. I put mine in the dryer with a couple of heavy towels to dry it, took about 15 mins' and it came out wrinkle free. It is going to wrinkle though, so if that bothers you don't buy this dress. But it is the kind of dress that it's not going to look bad when it wrinkles and the only wrinkles I got were where the dress was laying on itself. I've come back to get one to wear to my dil and son's baby shower the first of next month.

Material is soft and flowy, comfy to wear all day. Material is light, nice for summer. Cut is loose and flattering across the hips, but does run small in the bust. (I am a B/C cup about 5'5, 220lbs. 2xl dress falls a little about the ankle on me) *FOR THOSE BUYING THE RED AND WHITE VERSION: The rope that hangs at the waist bleeds red dye, remove before washing, use cold water for wash cycle. I am not heavy chested, but the bust was tighter than it should have been for the size purchased. Buttons have an elastic loop on them, these will stretch open at the bust. I had mine sewn shut along the buttons from bust to the end of the skirt. Waist band is super stretchy, so was still easy to put on. Even with needing to modify, would purchase again. Beautiful dress. (I personally didn't like the large sleeves. Not a thing wrong with them, just personal preference. Had them made into flutter sleeves with a split at the shoulder. Turned out very cute.)

I just received and opened the package. I LOVE this dress! I don't want to take it off! This will be perfect for a church tea party I'm planning and for our Hawaii trip soon. After reading a lot of the reviews and looking at pictures, I decided to order a Medium in "Light Green." I'm glad I did not order a Large. I'm 5'2, 148 lbs, and 38C. Overall: The fabric is really soft! It's wrinkled out of the package, but who cares. Hehe. The color and pattern are like the stock photos and in other reviews. I'm looking forward to ordering more! Bust area: (see pictures) The loops are elastic, as other reviews have mentioned and it does look like I'm about to bust out (which was a concern after reading the reviews), but in the 2nd pic, you will see that there is quite a bit of fabric, so you can't see my bra or anything. The cut in low enough that it's cute but not enough to show cleavage on me. Length: I'm only 5'2 and this dress touches the floor with about an inch of fabric laying on the floor. Which is fine for me and I think that will looks nice with some flat sandals. See through fabric: It's too hard for me to tell right now (it's 10pm) if it'll be see through with some more natural lighting during the day. As of now, walking around with my house lights on, it doesn't look like I'll need a slip. Buttons: There is a good amount of fabric "behind" the buttons, so when I sit down I'm not revealing anything, as mentioned in some reviews. Maybe their dresses didn't have that extra fabric laying correctly or is folded over. Just make sure you iron it so you get the proper coverage. Sleeves: I have fairly big arms and the sleeves fit well. There's still room and it's comfortable and not restricting at all, which was another one of my concerns. So happy that my big arms are comfy in this dress! Full skirt: I have wide hips and there is plenty of room in the skirt for me. The fabric flows nicely.

AMAZON: PLEASE LET US LEAVE FEEDBACK FOR ***EACH ITEM*** THAT WE BUY. This may be a single listing, but since it has multiple different items, they are not all the same. Example: one dress fits completely different from another and they're both marked as the same size. The dress colors and patterns are different and that's another thing to critique separately. It's like trying to describe apples and oranges as a single fruit. Edited June 12: The Black_green dress (#2 across in the top row) fits much smaller than the Pink short sleeved (#5 top row) and both are XXL. The Black-green dress is unwearable due to tightness in bodice and sleeves whereas the Pink dress has a little room for me to grow into, not that I want to - yikes! The sleeves on the Black_green dress are tight all the way down the sleeve and the armhole itself is smaller than the Pink. SHOCKING! It FITS! I say shocking, because off-shore garments traditionally runs much smaller. I bought XXL and it honestly fits fine - even the armholes are large enough to not cut off circulation either at the body or the sleeve bottom. Excellent! Info: I'm 5' 6" tall, 220 lbs. The XXL fits just fine and it buttons all the way with enough room to spare so that I don't look like a stuffed sausage. The stretchy waistband hits around my 40" ribcage, immediately below my breasts (when wearing a bra, lol) and several inches above my waist and is quite comfortable! The dress is very flattering on me if you don't look at my bingo-wings from the rear. I LOVE this dress. Another brilliant design aspect to this dress is that there is a little flange or placket on the inside of the dress down the front so that if the dress is a little too snug and pulls apart at the elastic button bands (hate that), the gap will have that flange of fabric behind it! It's pretty, I like the fabric, it's light enough for hot weather, but with enough weight and volume to be flowy. The dress is well-constructed except for the cotton string belt - really very odd - it seems to be regular string off a spool with a string tassel on the ends. Completely unsuitable and impractical for washing, but it's sewn into the garment. I'll be removing that ASAP. I don't see a need for it anyway, it seems to be purely decorative, but in the wrong way - if it was a color that matched any color in the dress it might work, but as it is, it just looks and feels like string. I might try painting it to match one of the colors :D I had also bought another one in Black with elbow length sleeves but that won't arrive until June. I actually prefer the longer sleeve. This sleeve (ironed and measured flat) is 10" opening at body (20" circumference) and 8" across bottom of sleeve (16" circumference)

I am 5'4". B cup. 180 lbs. I usually go for a size 16/18. I ordered XL and it fit exactly as I hoped it would fit. The V neck was flattering. Not too low. The sleeves were not tight on my upper arm and the length of the sleeve was flattering, almost to the elbow. The waist is smocked, so it was not tight, but did provide shape to the dress. My skin is sensetive to elastic, so I wore a full slip. The elastic probably would not bother other people. The fabric is soft and flowy. The bow & cord at the waist is not functional, just for detail. The tiny buttons down the front are functional and add an attractive detail. The buttons stop just below the knee which provides a slit. Because I am short, the dress was ankle length, but I loved it. I wore this dress to a summer outdoor wedding/reception and received many compliments. I was very comfortable. The only thing this dress does not have is pockets. I missed having a pocket, but the dress appears more slimming without pockets. My dress was the white/red print. Be prepared - the red does bleed during washing. I handwashed it the first two times to avoid staining other clothing. I really love this dress!

My figure would best be described aa matronly, which is to say my midrift is not what it used to be and mY waist is almost non-existent but this dress makes me look and feel great. Plus I get so many compliments when I wear it, even from my husband (and that is saying something) I bought size large,I am 5'4ish and pretty much only wear flats and I worry with Maxi dresses that I will end up dirtying the hem. The hem is clean, but I would have preferred it an inch shorter, so may even make that adjustment before I take it out on the next spin. The floral print is delightful and easy to dress up and down. Only thing, it does have a lot of buttons. Not all were buttoned up I discovered and now that they are, I will never unbutton them again. If your nails are not freshly cut and you are especially dextrous this may not be an issue for you. I needed help to get the job done, and yet I still give this a full 5 stars. The price is great especially considering the amount of fabric. Yes the skirt is full and sways in the breeze. Honestly this is such a great style. I went with

I am 5’4”, weigh 175 lbs and measurements are 47 43 47. I ordered an XXL. Dress fit good and very comfortable out of the package. I needed to iron it to assure the hem was even. The dress ironed up beautiful, but being 100% Rayon, it stretched. The dress is now too big through the shoulders and bust. I’m keeping it with the expectation that it will shrink some when laundered. I paired the dress with a petticoat, Shimaly purchased here on Amazon, as shown in the photos to wear to Derby Day at the horse races. Being Rayon, it’s not top quality and the hem is only machine serged. If it washes up well, I may invest in having a nice hem done. Other reviews complained about all the buttons. I buttoned the dress, then pulled it on over my head with no issues. I think if you’ll keep in mind it’s only a $40 dress, you’ll be happy with it. Colors are vibrant and the busy pattern camouflages a lot of body flaws. The front split is not near as high as Amazon's picture shows. The split stops on me about mid-shin. I intend to order a few more if this one launders well.

This dress is adorable! Very flattering and fits true to size. I am larger chested so I did sew the button area as they are fastened with elastic and it stretched across my chest. Simple fix with a stitch. I wish it came in other colours! I’d buy them all!
