Great insight
Great format for a book, lots of little consumable stories in chapters meaning it was the ideal holiday book for stopping and starting whenever there was some down time. Great insights for any United fan or neutral who isn’t too bitter to enjoy the story of an amazing sporting achievement by a bunch of characters. I only wish it was longer!

Enjoyable
An enjoyable read. I don’t recall any major new insight or revelations from reading the book but still a well written, fun, comprehensive account of an incredible achievement

Brings back memories
What a fantastic book & it brought back so many memories of that amazing season & everything it involved.Meeting my then girlfriend now wife in 1998, I can remember the games & what we were doing at that time.Ole’s 4 goals v Forest. The Liverpool away draw when I proposed. The Arsenal replay when it went from despair to joy.Spurs at home, Newcastle at Wembley & then on to Barcelona.I had goosebumps & a tear in my eye reading about that final.Remembering where I was (at my father in law’s house in Manchester),It brings back some amazing memories & a come back that I doubt we will ever see in a final again.Going down to Deansgate for the parade & being lost in a sea of red.We partied like it was 1999.

Back to the 90’s
No doubt there maybe a few books and stories written about what Manchester United achieved in 1998/99. Make sure you read this one. I finished this in no time. This book has been on my wish list for quite some time and my only regret was that l didn’t buy it earlier. A fantastic read that really captures that season.I felt the book might have been a game by game review, but l needed have worried, it wasn’t. It was much more than that. The book was wonderfully researched and the inputs from the former players are top notch.I loved the short chapters. Other authors take note. I’m not a United fan, but l respected what they did that season and this book pays the ultimate tribute to them. This book takes you down memory lane, as l vividly recall where and with whom l was watching some of the games that season, notably the European ones towards the final.I’m quite a harsh book critic, but can’t fault this one. First 5 star book rating I’ve given this year.

Teriffic, Teriffic, Teriffic
Wonderful sports writing particularly if you are a Man Utd fan who lived through all the heartaches, relegation and false dawns before the wonderful years of Ferguson, Cantona, The Class of 92 and the legends that are Schmeichel, Stam, Keane, Yorke and Cole. All the big matches are covered and the author does a wonderful job to help us relive the drama, the pressure, the late goals and the twists and turns during a season never to forget.A must for all Man Utd fans

Good follow up to the treble.Provides
A different slant of the games United played in their treble winning year. Not overburdened with detail, it just does enough to keep you informed.

Excellent book
Read every book and watched every film, documentary and interview about the 1998-99 season. This book is hands down the best piece of writing on the season. Each chapter is short meaning you quite quickly dip in and out of the book with ease. While there isn’t much in revelations, it does provide an accurate account of the time and helps any United fan quickly immerse themselves back into the best year of our recent random. I could not put it down.

A finish to the best decade of English football
Like other reviewers, I picked it up and didn't want to put it down. The stories are great, the writing is unpretentious. I found myself heading to YouTube to refresh my memory of certain matches or moments described in the book.Kudos to Matt Dickinson, who allows the reader to fall back in love with that time, 90s football, and the club that defined it so generously, Manchester United.
