Does exactly what it says. It's consistent with its measurements and is pretty adequately sized for travel. Fits into a carry on, and is a tad heavier than I expected but its not unreasonable considering the top is made of glass. Materials have a nice finish and the screen is large and readable. One thing did surprise me pleasantly. Since there is no on/off switch, the scale only turns on when pressure is placed on the top. I was worried that it would keep turning on in my luggage and lose battery charge much quicker. As it turns out, it takes quite a bit of weight or pressure on the top to turn on, so no worries of the battery dying quickly there! Word of caution - I did get stopped by the TSA because I had it in my carry on and they didn't know what it was when it went through the scanner, hence they assumed it was a bomb and searched my luggage. That's not a fault of the product though. All in all a great product for a very reasonable price.

Is wonderful! Very accurate and compact. I'm a tracker and I love to monitor my weight, food and exercise but I was unable to monitor my weight while on vacations. I want to keep moving forward with my weight loss and health goals and not just wing it just because I'm on vacation. This scale has helped with that so much, that for the first time EVER, I lost weight while on two separate cruises.

Exactly what I was looking for. Yes, it is a small scale and not a lot of room for your feet. But small enough to pack in bag and keep track of weight while traveling. recommend if you like to track all that eating while traveling.

Was looking for a new set of scales that measured lbs (but if weighed also kgs & stone, would be a plus - which these do). Realizing that weighing daily works exceedingly well for me, and a few 'away from home' outings planned (where I know I'm prone to gain), I discovered that there was an option for a 'travel scale', which could help on trips. Pro's 1. A lot smaller & lighter than a regular set of scales, will easily fit into a larger carry on personal piece of luggage (ie not necessarily a small suitcase). 2. Bright, trendy color. 3. Easy enough to weigh on. Yes, feet will hang over front, back or both, but regardless of how the weight is distributed, the same weight is recorded. Con 1. Sizes given by are not the dimensions of the scales, and that was really the reason that I was 'sold' on the purchase. ACTUAL DIMENSIONS of the item delivered to me: 12.25" x 6.25" x 0.75" - 2lb 0.9oz - (31cm x 16cm x 2cm - 935g) Imagine an iPad and add 3.5" (9cm) to the length, I was expecting something closer to the iPad size. General They do weigh around a lb less than my previous scales, but I expect that from all scales, ie they don't all weigh the same. So, if they weigh lb less than other scales today, they will do that tomorrow. Each of us is concerned with whether we're more, less or the same as yesterday, so this really should be no issue. For traveling purposes, to protect them, I'll be repacking them back into their original box, including corner supports. 13" x 7" x 1.25" (33cm x 18cm x 3cm) Overall, I'm pretty pleased with them, even if they are larger than anticipated, just seeing them and their bright color, makes me smile. 1/18/2016 The battery went dead this morning. Purchased way back in 2012 and this is the first time that it's gone - and I've used them on a more or less daily basis. Having problems removing the battery, as the tiny screw is secured so tight - but 4.5 years of use out of the battery, is pretty good going.

I always have trouble with gaining weight when I travel. Fast food, restaurants, no gym, and being out of my regular routine usually take a toll. I thought that if I could find a scale that fits in my carry-on bag and doesn't take up too much space, I might keep some parts of my routine while I'm not at home. The small size fits in the bag, and it doesn't take up much space. The scale consists of a piece of glass about a quarter of an inch thick with the color attached to the back of the glass. It looks very nice, but I don't care how it looks and bought the neon green one because it was less expensive than the red or black versions. Below the glass, the scale has a foot in each corner that comes out of a white plastic housing. Also underneath is the battery door where you can replace the CR2032 battery if it goes bad. The instructions said that the battery should last three years under normal use. I think that the scale looks to be an inch tall off the floor, not the 0.8" from the specifications, which is the only issue I have with the published specifications. Overall, the scale works well, seems to be accurate and consistent, and made of sturdy quality. It is a little different feeling because of its small size when using the scale, because my toes and heels extend off the sides of the glass. If you can keep your balance, then this shouldn't be an issue. I was having a hard time trying to read the scale while standing on it and keeping my balance until I realized that once it reaches a weight measurement, it will keep the number on the display for a few seconds. Now I just step on, wait a few seconds for the measurement to take, then step back and read the number on the inch high LCD display. Only time will tell if this helps remind me to be healthy while I'm traveling.

Got this for travel, as need daily weight for heart failure and knowing if need water pill. Made it through 2 airplane rides, and cruise ship handlings. I packed in check bag, only in the foam packing included. Great value. Very small and compact, yet does the job well. Beautiful color. Haven't changed batteries yet, 5 months.

This is the 3rd one we bought. Lasted for years. We love the small size for our small bathroom. It fits in a narrow space where nobody trips over it but is easily seen to remind us to weigh ourselves. It is accurate and nice looking also.

EDIT 5.5 years later: I still have this scale and it still works perfectly. I've only had to replace the battery once since I've owned it. I was researching scales to purchase for my home and was about to order the full size Newline scale when I saw this smaller one at the bottom of the page. In comparing them I saw that they were pretty much exactly the same except the size. Being that I haven't owned a scale because I don't like such an ugly big thing cluttering up my bathroom, this was the perfect solution. It looks nice and is small enough to tuck away in a cabinet. Upon receipt of this scale I was very impressed! Not only was it very affordable and available for purchase with Amazon Prime, so it arrived quickly - it looked great! I bought this expecting to get what I paid for, a little cheap scale that was (hopefully) accurate. But this thing feels like quality. It has that satisfying heft you feel when holding a well made product. The black is under a solid glass surface, adding to it's respectable appearance. I don't think I'll be tucking it away in a cabinet either. I actually opened it in the kitchen when it arrived, and just left it there on the kitchen floor in the corner. I haven't had an issue with using it either. It shows your weight quickly, always on the first try. The smaller size doesn't really affect anything by standing on it, just know that unless you're a small child, your entire foot won't fit on it while standing to get your weight. Overall very satisfied with my purchase.

Had received a damaged product. The edge of the weighting scale was broken. The delivery package also has glass pieces.

It can only fit one foot which is shame depending on the price

Fabulous. Precisely the same as full size WW scales. Light enough to pack and survived flights wrapped in towels! Astonishingly first first time ever lost weight on holiday. As a WW member I rely on my scales these work really well and I am very pleased with them.
