yes i repaired a tent 2 years ago and its been folded and packed and unpacked and still stuck tight ,the best fabric glue i have ever used but i dont know how well it works on plastic eg;- vinyl.

Q: Mesh on tennis shoe upper is coming away, would this help glue it back in place?

This glue is pretty cool. It has a rubbery stretch to it when dry. So amazing even on a stretchy fabric. I would vote yes (though have not tried it on a shoe). If it is just to hold the mesh Fabic down then it will definitely work. But it won't be able to support the strain of holding a seam on a shoe together. I would suggest restitching at a seam.
