It appears to work in a wind.
My wife had her previous umbrella blow inside out so required a replacement. This one was cheap but appears well made. So far it has stood up to the winter winds on her walks in wet weather.

Small For Me.
The media could not be loaded. When I saw this umbrella on amazon,I just wanted to try the automatic closing mechanism which can be useful in so many situations. The umbrella looks good. It was so easy to dry due to its higher quality coating material.Only downside I could find is the size, this is too small for me which is a hugh bummer.Overall, considering the price, this is an OK purchase.

Very strong frames
The umbrella is quite heavy due to the frames and double canopy but it is very sturdy.

2nd time i've bought this as 4 years later I can't find anything similar which is better.
I bought this item back in July 2018 and lost it last month.Hands down this was best travel umbrella I had so there was no other option when getting a new one.Let's go through the basics:It is a good size, with a slightly wider canopy than similar umbrella styles so it's better for taller larger people with that extra bit of coverage. The wind flap is well done and not once has this umbrella turned inside out when I've used it. Also, it feels safer that it won't fly out your hands or pull you down the street in stronger winds. The handle's auto open and auto close button has worked every time and I use this more feature than expected. It's not just a posh gimmick. If you are carrying another item (and don't have another hand free in heavy rain), being able to press the button to quickly collapse in the middle of downpour when arriving inside somewhere (eg a tube station entrance) is actually a very useful feature. It has never torn or sustained any damage in 4 years' normal use and the sheath cover is a good fit (not stupidly tight to get on like some others). There is nothing comparable for the price. If you are the kind of person who spends £5-10 on replacement umbrellas every year or so due to them breaking or getting damaged then this is a much better purchase in the long run and easily worth the money.

A bit small and feels a bit flimsy. Wind vent is rubbish.
Haven't had any gale force winds to test it with but it has been OK in mild wind. It feels a bit flimsy but can't fault it yet.Edit - nope wind vent isn't good. It's flipped inside out twice just now. With how flimsy it feels I'm pretty sure it'll snap.

Great umbrella - lasts years
I have had this for 3 years, and it is a great little sturdy umbrella. Well worth the cost.

Well that was useless
If your a Scottish lass like me. Or live in a place where it often rains and winds. This umbrella is NOT for you. I took it out with me today, not even that bad wind, I even debated if my umbrella was worth getting out because it wasn't so bad with the rain.I figured since it's so big and bulky looking, that would mean the material is more sturdy? Nope. Flipped outwardly with the first blow of wind. Not to mention putting it up is fine but putting it down is a nightmare. You really gotta push down to make sure it doesn't spring open again
