Fantastic! I have always yearned to have such an egg nest on my kitchen work surface and it really does look amazing. Nicely painted it adds traditional charm to ones kitchen. I can manage about 14 medium size eggs carefully nestled inside. As a precaution, I line the inside with some kitchen towel to provide a bit of security from possible cracks to the eggs if Mother Hen happens to be moved in an abrupt manner. It is well glazed and feels sturdy and quite weighty. I remember my grandmother having a slightly larger one alongside a ceramic bee honey pot, so there is an element of nostalgia attached to it. Very pleased I purchased this and resides where everyone can appreciate its beauty.

I have thought about getting one of these for years, and had put this item on my Personal Wish List on Smile.Amazon. Just before Christmas, I finally made the purchase. It arrived promptly, well packaged and in perfect condition. When I unpacked it I was surprised how small it was and was concerned that I wouldn't fit many eggs in. The pictures show it closed and then open with as many egg as I could get in. It takes on average 15 large eggs. That is not super large, but classified as large. I really, really love this beautiful piece of pottery and would thoroughly recommend both the supplier and this particular design which is truly beautiful. 😀👍

I have been hankering after a ceramic chicken to store eggs for ages now, much to the bewilderment of my family and fell for this girl because of her good looks and, I have to admit, the price , which is really reasonable compared to what shops and especially markets are looking for insipid cream or brown versions. Arrived within 4 days of ordering, really well packaged with absolutely no damage. Looks exactly like the images, in fact better in real life. She easily holds 12 large eggs and could fit more. She is in pride of place on the worktop and guess what? She is universally adored, even by the teenagers who like nothing their mother likes! She is the gorgeous Beyonce of the ceramic Chicken world. Hope she gets to shake her impressive tail feather for a long time in our kitchen. Love it!!!

Mrs Hen is gorgeous...well made, well painted and a joy to have in the kitchen. I don't actually eat eggs but she was too lovely to resist and she's now a permanent resident on my kitchen counter! This would make a lovely gift, 100% recommended

Great chicken for eggs

I really liked the pictures of this Hen - it looks cheekily backwards. I thought it looked cute and different from the regular designs. I must admit I chose it because it was a British product. It is nice and colourful and as I said slightly smaller than I had imagined it would be. I love it - it is wonderfully 'kitsch', which is exactly what I was looking for.

Un contenitore molto bello per conservare le uova. Fatto in ceramica, ha la forma di una gallina, è delicato, ma realizzato davvero bene. Si lava con un panno.
