If you’ve ever tried to untangle a 100-foot rope and questioned all of your life choices in the process, let me introduce you to my new best friend—the SMI Rope Winder Spool. Before this spool entered my life, my rope situation was a disaster. I’d spend more time untangling ropes than actually using them. It was like wrestling a hyperactive octopus. My garage looked like a giant spaghetti monster exploded, and the only thing that got tied up in knots was my patience. But the SMI Rope Winder? Oh, it's a game-changer. It winds up ropes so neatly, you’ll wonder if you’ve somehow developed superpowers. You just wind, snap it in place, and suddenly your ropes look like they belong in a professional sailor's toolkit instead of a squirrel’s nest. I’ve used it on everything—extension cords, Christmas lights, my dog’s leash (don’t ask)—and it handles them all like a champ. It’s so satisfying that I actually look forward to winding things up now. I may have even “accidentally” unraveled a few cords just for the fun of winding them back up. Is that weird? Don’t answer that.

Faulty groove in spool will not stay attached to spindle.
I bought two of these spools. One of them has a problem with the groove that is supposed to nest into place which holds the spool on to the spindle. I’ve been unable to get any support or replacement. The other one I purchased works fine, and am happy with it. My frustration is lack of support.

Holds 800ft of line
Works great. Holds 2 shrimp pots worth of 5/16 leaded rope, 400ft each. 800ft total. Had to buy 2 of these for our 4 pots.

These work great to manage shrimp line and crab pot lines. They just make is really easy and clean

Amazing product!
These reels are amazing, I was soo sick of 300-400' of rope on the deck, I bought 1 extra spool and yes, 800ft of 5/16" line in 200' increments is what I have on each reel. Its perfect. 4 shrimp pots 400' each pot
