A very nice, small-sized G1-era Transformer
A very nice, fairly cartoon-accurate Ironhide (and if you don't flip his head up during transformation, the headless version looks remarkably like the Generation-1 original Ironhide (or Ratchet), which (as they were originally called Diaclones) didn't have a head, just a seat for a figure, or a sticker as the robot's face.

Good little toy!
As a huge fan of the the Core Class size of Transformers, I was glad to see that Hasbro finally got around to doing Ironhide in the Studio Series line. He is a redeco of Ratchet from last year, with all the same strengths and weaknesses. If you have Studio Series Core Class Ratchet, this is probably all you need to hear, but if you missed out on Ratchet and are on the fence with Ironhide, read on. Ironhide is a pretty faithful recreation of his appearance in the '80s Transformers cartoon. As luck would have it, Ironhide's design in this show was highly blocky and monochromatic even by G1 standards, meaning it translates well to a simple Core Class design. In robot mode, I'd say he's about as you could get at this price point, with the colors being spot on and the molded detail on his chest and head being perfect. He's also quite poseable, with balljointed knees, hips, elbows, and shoulders giving him a fair range of posing options. The joints are firm too, and he balances well in odd poses as you can see in my "taking the bullet" image. However, his solid robot mode does come somewhat at the expense of his van mode. While the front half the van is good, it all goes downhill in the back, with ugly unpainted windows and pronounced joints and seams standing out way too much. Additionally, much like the larger Voyager Class Ironhide from the same line, he lacks the yellow stripe in van mode, a detail which is sorely missed. To round out the long list of the van mode's weaknesses, the very panel-heavy nature of his transformation means that it's often difficult to get the tabs in van mode to stay together properly, so you will often have noticeable gaps, as shown in my pictures. However, in all honesty, the so-so van mode doesn't bug me. Frankly, I basically only display Transformers in vehicle mode as part of theme-heavy dioramas anyway, and I don't expect absolute perfection and detail out of my $10 3 inch figures anyway. For a Core Class toy, Ironhide isn't perfect, but he is very good, and as a Core Class enthusiast, he's an excellent addition to my collection.

Iron Awesomeness
Awesome little core class transformer. Feels more like a scaled down deluxe class because of the engineering, lack of visible gaps and all around appearance. Love this little guy!

Adorable Ironhide With Not So Adorable Issues
Pros: -Looks good. -Transforms. -Scales well with Titans. -A surprising range of motion for such a small figure. Cons: -Fit and finish is terrible. (Seems like mold degradation, but can't be after only two uses. This guy feels like it, though.) -Nothing wants to stay tabbed, nothing lines up right, and everything wants to pop loose. (Ratchet was not like this. Much better experience with him.) -Both transformation and posing him causes ball joints to pop out of their sockets. I spend half the time reassembling him, so I don't do much with him. He's going to be display-only, it seems. Final thoughts: I'm hoping it's just my copy, but if it's across the board...I have to recommend you skip this one. Ratchet holds together better, doesn't feel as cheap, and this guy just isn't worth the asking price in this condition. I get it, he's like $10, 11 bucks...can't ask for much, right? Eh...you feel ripped off with this one. If it's just a fluke and it's only mine having the issues, then by all means go and pick him up because Ratchet needs his brother and they do look good together. Plus, Legends-esque figures for dirt cheap instead of 3rd party prices? Win. (Of course, the 3rd party figures are leaps and bounds better than these on all fronts, but they're also going for $100.00 a pop in some cases and that's MP money, y'all.) Here's to hoping yours is better than mine is, so you don't get ripped off. (Not Amazon's fault, this is all on Hasbro.)

Great Ironhide Core class.
Great Ironhide figure for a core class. But not up to scale with other Studio Series figures.

Just right for me
Seems really nice. Throwback to my childhood at a low price. Perfect for displaying on my desk

Toy is good, plastic quality is not.
While the toy itself is great and is exactly what you'd want for the price, the quality of the plastic is utterly insulting, as on my copy at least, the moment I had gotten the left leg out of the string holding it within the box, the friction peg on the right snapped entirely off of the part it was connected to, not just making the part not viable to connect in robot mode, but even making the alternate mode entirely unfinished.

Pequeño pero lleno de detalles
Aunque es de tamaño compacto (8,5 cm), la figura de Ironhide está genial acabada, con muy buenas articulaciones y una transformación de 10. Perfecta tanto para jugar como para coleccionar.

They don't make 'em like they use to
The quality of Hasbro/Tamara Romy has really gone down the 💩🚽, if I had this in the 80s it wouldn't have survived unpacking, the all plastic design is stupid, sure there has always been plastic in their construction, but it's now crappiest plastic & there is virtually no metal, I wouldn't buy this for my kids because I know it wouldn't have survived kid me so I wouldn't waste money buying toys that wouldn't last being played with, they are less toy more collector display, lucky its why I bought it, but if I were a kid I would not be impressed by it's playability or lack thereof, gotten used to the world 💩on my childhood memories, RIP IRONHIDE, lost at the Battle at Autobot City

cheap and cheerful
This Ironhide is great, shame the core class has been left behind by hasbro. i will say however that the seller i got my Ironhide from sent Arcee instead so i ended up getting Ironhide from another store but as a review of the toy itself he is great value for money, along with his mold-mate Ratchet.
