Great color!
I had a great experience with this self tanner so I will share exactly what I did. Granted everyone’s skin is different but this is what worked for me. I ordered the 8 hour mousse in the dark color. I used a Tree Hut sugar scrub with a mitt in the shower to exfoliate everywhere. I also shaved. I did this in the morning so I could apply the tanner that evening. Body wash is Tree Hut as well. This does not come with a mitt so I purchased a generic one off Amazon. I started by putting a tiny bit of light lotion on my toes and my fingernails. I did NOT apply lotion anywhere else beforehand. Not even after the shower. I shook the bottle very well and put the foam on the mitt, then buffed it into my body in circular motions. It dries VERY fast so you do need to work quickly. This is why I never apply in long lines because that’s how I get streaks. I used residual solution from the mitt to swipe my feet and hands. I also used a brush to dab the tanner into the mitt then lightly brush across my face. Then I put on dark loose fit clothing and went to bed. I applied at 8:30pm. I woke up and showered at 6:30am. For a color test, I applied a pimple patch on my arm prior to starting, then removed it before showering. Yes a lot of the color guide washes off. But I was left with a very natural looking tan color. I attached 3 pictures showing immediately after application, immediately after showering, and my legs after day one with lotion. I did not use a washcloth or loofa in the shower the morning after, just body wash and my hands. I then applied lotion and went on my way. I did return to using my loofah on Day 2. I’m on Day 4 and my tan still looks good! Obviously from the picture you can tell I’m very pale normally so this is a perfect ‘week on the beach’ color for me! Hope this helps!

NOT sticky or smelly
This stuff is amazing!! I used St. Tropez for years until I showed up to a concert & my friend was looking like a golden bronzer snacky snack!!! She said she used this stuff so *adds to cart immediately!* and I have not been disappointed! This stuff doesn’t go on green & actually makes you BROWN! I’m pretty pale & this tanner (I use ultra dark) makes me look like I’ve been at the beach for a week. I contour my face with it on Mondays & it makes me look like I have makeup on when I don’t! If I wear a skirt/dress to work, I put this on in the morning & head straight to work. It isn’t sticky & doesn’t leave me stinky all day! Looooove this shiz.

One of the best self tanners I've bought.
We got this for my daughter for her dance at school. Did not leave a orange color and didn't smear either. Dries fairly fast, the mitt that comes with it helps so much for application and putting it on around your knees and elbows. Non streaking, worth the price !! Easy quick fix for a fast tan!!

Loved, but...
I actually loved this self tanner. The color always turned out beautifully, it was easy to apply, it gave a great guide as applying so you could see where you were putting the tanner and when ready to take off, it came off easy. The only two down fall I had was, it dried out my skin horribly. No matter how much I lotioned up, which I did every morning, throughout the day and at night. My skin never seemed moisturized or hydrated, always dried out. But I blame that on the many years I spent tanning in the sun and tanning beds that has damaged my skins normal barriers. So it could definitely be different for you. Also the fading process isn't forgiving, so you have to be ready to take off once it starts to fade and your shoes, bra and pants line will rub off. Other then that, I loved it. I switched to bondi sands, because it is an oil based self tanner that has worked wonders for me and my self tanning journey. Some tips for you guys that helped me out: I used coconut oil on my hands, underarms, elbows, knees, ankles and feet. Definitely helped the tanner go on smoothly, not blotchy or caked up. I also would used in those same areas along with my face, a big make up brush to apply a dime size amount to apply and blend in those areas. When taking off, I soaked in the bath for 20 minutes in white vinager then used ivory bar soap with a exfoliating rag from Wal-Mart to remove. Then jumped in shower to use the same rag with my normal body wash to get a better removal of tanner. Worked every time. After getting out shower, I used my go to lotion to moisturized and hydrate my skin then waited a HR to apply tanner. I hope these tips help you out along your self tanning journey and with loving tan tanners.

FIRST TIME USER - Tips for success!
So... I am a mom in my 50s who never used a tanner of this kind. My daughter uses it regularly and has an amazing golden glow that I wanted. But I wasn't sure I was willing to put in the work. So my girl gave me very detailed instructions on what to do and WOW did it work. Pros: Very natural golden tan that looked amazing on my very first try Didn't have to sleep in the product overnight Tan still going fairly strong a full week later Cons: I hate the smell. It's just... that tanner smell. The good news is it dissipates in maybe 24-36 hours but I couldn't stop smelling it for the first full day I had my tan. So if I was going to apply this for, say, a Saturday wedding, I would do it on Wednesday night so I'd still have great color but no smell for the big day. I realize some people don't mind that smell but I just, well, I can't stand it. So here's the lowdown on what I was instructed to do, and this worked like a charm. BUY A MITT. Don't even attempt to do this without one. I got a simple black mitt here on Amazon for $4.89 and it did the job beautifully. I don't think the pricey Loving Tan mitt is necessary at all. Take a shower, shave, and really try to exfoliate knees, elbows, knuckles, and toes. I just rubbed hard with a washcloth and soap, that did the job just fine. Make sure you are fully dry and then rub a tiny bit of moisturizer into the areas above that you exfoliated, so you don't have abnormally dark areas in those spots once the tanner sets up. PUT ON RUBBER GLOVES. Just the cheap disposable gloves that look like the kind of gloves your doctor or dentist uses. Pull up your hair, fully undress, and get in front of a mirror. Do your face first, with the mitt, and be sure to get your ears and neck. I shook the product well, put a small amount on the mitt, and applied in little circular motions with the mitt for each "dose" of tanner. Do your body in sections. Each arm as a whole. Each leg as a whole. Your armpits. Have someone on had to do your back if you need that evenly bronzed as well. Don't go crazy with the product on your knees, elbows, feet. Again, you don't want those areas to look too dark. Once you've done everything else, remove the rubber gloves and do your hands. Then, stand still and let everything fully dry for 10 minutes. Put on a loose robe or baggy PJs. No underwear, no bra, nothing that is tight against your body. Let the product "cure" for 3 hours (or up to 5, my daughter says) and then get in the shower and rinse off using your hands only to remove the product. No soap. No wash cloth, unless you use a very soft cloth to remove the tanner from your face. When you get out of the shower, PAT yourself dry with a towel you don't mind staining. No hard rubbing. Then, slather yourself in moisturizer before getting dressed/going to bed. This tan looked so real. Not orange at all, just golden and believable. I continued to be gentle the first couple of days when showering, and used a mild shower gel with a very soft cloth vs soap and a terry washcloth. I kept patting dry after my showers and put lots on lotion on to keep my skin hydrated and the tan looking great. Hope those tips help you, too. I was SO nervous I was going to look patchy or streaky or orange and I was none of these. I literally looked like I had just come home from a beach trip. : )

A pale girl's HERO!
This review may be a little extensive, but I just feel like I need to rave about this product for a second. My entire life, I have ALWAYS been the pale friend of the group. I'm talking, Irish white pasty skin. I can lay by the pool for days on end and never see a bit of olive color on my skin. I just normally burn and get more freckles. And I know there are those people reading this that are like "yup, that's me too!" Now, I haven't used self tanner in a whileeee. I've been burned many times by the failed attempts with Jergen's Natural Glow lotion or the several accidents using Fake Bake, and I don't want to mess up using a new product and have to go out in public and deal with the embarrassment of having Cheeto legs. Luckily, we are still in quarantine due to the outbreak of COVID-19, and I guess there really is a silver lining to everything. I figured this would be the perfect time to try a new self tanner since I don't have to see anyone if I have an accident with it! One day, I literally Googled, "self tanner that works best on pale skin," and I came across Loving Tan on a YouTuber's account (Shoutout to Conagh Kat!) Y'all....when I say this product is amazing....it's amazing. I was SUPER skeptical going into the experience, but I purchased everything other people's reviews said to. I bought this mousse, the face tanner from Loving Tan, an exfoliating glove, a mitt, the whole nine yards. I recommend going all the way if you're planning to try this out. I naturally have a yellow undertone, but this product gives off a red undertone which gave my skin a beautiful olive color that I've been missing all my life. I used a tanning mitt to apply it to the majority of my body, (I bought a St. Tropez mitt simply because it was cheaper than Loving Tan's) but I would use a makeup brush to help blend certain areas (ie. hands, elbows, neck). I applied this product at nighttime, slept in it, and showered off in the morning using water only. Beware because you're going to be extremely dark and perhaps dirty looking when you first wake up in the morning, but that's just the guide color. Once you shower, you'll be left with a beautiful tan! Because I am so pale and not yet the expert in self tanner, I started with the Medium shade. Believe me, if you're as white as me, that's all you'll need. I was already at least 2 shades darker, but it looked very natural. As I mentioned before, I paired it with the Loving Tan Face Tanner in medium (which I applied with a makeup brush). However, I wouldn't sleep all night in the face tanner. I only left it on for about an hour and a half and my face was already much darker. If you actual take the time to exfoliate and prep your skin, this stuff is the BEEZ-NEEZ. As far as longevity, if I had actually tried to moisturize consistently like you're suppose to, it would've probably lasted longer, however, even with my normal shower and skin routine, it still lasted about 4-5 days, which I feel is pretty impressive. When it comes down to it, I'd put Loving Tan up against anything. I will definitely ben using this all summer long!

Easy to applyand doesn't make you orange
Love then the 2 hour self tanning mouse. It's quick, it's efficient, and does not make you orange at all. Easy to apply.

Not Dark. Multiple applications.
Not new to self tanners. Decided to try this one in Dark. Upon application, smell is like "old lady perfume." Still better than other self tanners that have that fake chemical/urine/awful smell. A few minutes after application, it has dried and is not sticky. I have experienced no transfer onto clothing or sheets. Right after application, I look just as I want. It looks like a normal tan, no orange. I'm as dark as I want to be. BUT it mostly washes off after the 6 hour waiting period. The color guard in the product that allows you to see where you've applied it makes me look just as bronze and tan as I wish I was. I've done two applications of this product, leaving it on for 6 hours each time before rinsing off in warm water. All the color looks like it's just washing down the drain. Get out of the shower and pat down with the towel, don't see any tan color transfer onto the towel. Look in the mirror and there's some tan left on my skin but the beautfiul bronze tan that I had before rinsing off is gone. I've done two applications of this product so far and I'm not as tan as I appear when first applying it. I don't know how many applications it's going to take to achieve the bronze tan I want. Highly disappointed so far.

Flawless Tan That Actually Lasts!
This is hands down the best self-tanner I’ve ever used. The professional strength delivers an amazing, deep color, and the quality is absolutely incredible. No streaks or orange tones in sight. Unlike other tanners, this one has very little smell, which is a huge plus. It applies smoothly, washes off beautifully after the development time without leaving any weird patches, and is incredibly long-lasting. If you want a flawless, natural-looking dark tan that stays put, this is the one!

Best self tanner I've tried
Loving Tan is so worth the splurge. I usually save money wherever I can but fake tanning is something I really can't go without due to the fact that I am white as white can be. I tried a cheaper Jergens one first but it came off really orange and my coworkers kept making fun of me lmao so I bought this product despite the hefty price tag and was not disappointed! Very natural, smells great and the guide color makes it easy to use. I leave it on overnight and it does leave residue on my sheets but it comes out no problem in the wash. Then I shower in the morning and the guide color comes off and I'm left with gorgeous bronze skin. I'm going to try the 2 hour express next.

Favorite and best self tanner
Love this product, followed directions and achieved great results. For my medium/olive skin tone I used the (Dark For Medium to Dark Skin Tones) not too dark at all, rather a perfect shade, no streaks and worked well on my face even though I have sensitive skin. I also purchased the the (Bronze Shimmer) and it adds such a beautiful highlight/glow. This will most definitely be repeat purchase!
