3 x Eros Pista Hungarian Paprika Paste, 3x200g

I first had this paste on a tour in Hungary. Hungarian food isn’t spicy, but if you want to kick it up a notch, they told me to use this sparingly. I used the tiny spoon provided to add some heat to my chicken paprika and felt a nice warming heat up through my ears that made it very pleasant to eat. I liked it so well, I bought this for all the foodies on my Christmas shopping list. I can see adding it to all kinds of soups, strews and sauces where you want to add heat to your meal. It’s a great value, because you don’t heap it into the pot, you add it little by little and even plate by plate to get the heat level you diners desire. It is very good quality and is a delicious way to add spice to your meal.

It's a little reminder of home. Good value for the 3 pack. Quality is on point. The taste is amazing and fresh. Definitely a way to spice up any type of food.

I first tried this while visiting Budapest and really enjoyed it. I brought a couple of jars home and have been rationing myself. It is very cheap in Hungary and is apparently a household staple which I was told was called “Strong Steven” or “Strong Steve” depending on who said it. I was pleased to find it on Amazon, but wish it was a bit cheaper. If you haven’t tried it, the taste is pepper spicy and salty. It is hot, but I don’t find it overpowering. Your mileage may vary since I am partial to spicy foods. Apparently it is commonly found on the dining table in Hungary, so you can season your goulash or whatever to taste. I like it good enough to just eat it on bread! I’m pleased to have a U.S. source and hope you find this helpful if you haven’t tried this before.

Just like I got in Magyarorszag/Hungary. Bring home the spice. Put it on food, in sauces, eat with chips! So good. Nice heat and freshness. Good flavor similar to the one I had in Budapest. However this one was extremely salty.
