Napoleon once said "When China is moved it will change the face of the globe." Today those words are becoming a reality through the powerful spiritual vision of the Chinese church to send 100,000 missionaries across China's borders to complete theGreat Commission, even in this generation. Here Brother Yun, Peter Xu Yongze, and Enoch Wang, three Chinese house church leaders who between them have spent more than 40 years in prison for their faith, explain the history and present-day reality ofthe Back to Jerusalem movement. Christians everywhere who are called to fulfill the Great Commission will be thrilled by this testimony and inspired to live bolder lives as disciples of Jesus Christ. Review: Inspirational & convicting - Praise God for what He's doing in China, through the house churches and their zeal/passion to save the lost and proclaim the good news of the salvation of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth! The sharing from these house church leaders was extremely convicting; As a Chinese Christian in America, it's easy to lose sight of God's ultimate purpose for this world and our responsibility as a disciple of Jesus Christ to be a witness to the nations. I am so encouraged by how the Christians in China see the persecution of the Chinese government not as a thorn or something to be discouraged by; rather, they see it as opportunities and blessings to suffer for Jesus' sake, and training for the future possible persecution in the countries they desire to spread the good news to. This book was so uplifting and convicting I bought another copy and now both of my copies are being read by other fellow Christians. Review: A must read for every Christian in the west! - Fifty years of persecution is described by Chinese believers as "God's training for us" (57). The house church leaders in this book plead "Don't pray for the persecution to stop" but pray for us to have "a strong back to endure" (58). Such comments seem strange to many of us in the west where we have all too easily equated the American dream with the Bible. Yet, what these house church leaders describe is biblical Christianity. It is a faith that looks remarkably like that of the apostles and the early church - a faith where believers love Jesus above all, are willing to count all things as loss compared to knowing Him, and are willing to take the Gospel to people who have never heard. All Christians should read this book to be challenged. I personally found myself convicted of too often desiring my own comfort more than God's renown, desiring ease of life rather than a life of Gospel service, and desiring friends more than being a friend of God even if it means alienation. Not only will this book give you appreciation for our brothers and sisters on the other side of the world but it will challenge you to look at your own life and figure out what it means to really love God and follow Him. Warning... this book may be a huge paradigm shift for you, may cause you to reevaluate your current involvement in missions, and may radically altar your spiritual walk - all for the better!

So appreciative!
Not only did the seller send it right away, but the book itself is great. I have not finished it yet (college does this to you). The book really gives a refreshing, clear vision of Jesus' call to go into all the world. They have a very practical, immediate, indigenous missions, yet, the encouragement is to every Believer wherever they are. I would highly recommend this book if you are: going on any mission, want to get a better grasp on Christians around the globe, going to an Asian country, or for a non-fiction book.

A great read that will impact you for life
Get a real view of how the Holy Spirit is alive and well in our current day and age. Praise God for the Chinese revival! Warning: I asked God personally what it meant to Go and make disciples. When He used this book to show me the answer, it was hard to really take it to heart since I know I fall short of it. I had to take personal stock of my walk with Jesus. A great read that will impact you for life!

A Painful Challenge to My Own Commitment
When I read this book, I was in Seminary. You might think that being in Seminary meant that I was totally committed to Christ. This book challenged me in that regard more than I could possibly say. I only THOUGHT I was committed to Christ. Of course I was saved and of course I was committed to Christ, but not like this! I only wish the church in American were half as committed to Jesus as the church in China. Not sure I completely agree with the "back to Jerusalem" principle itself, but the selfless commitment and ownership that the Chinese church has taken with respect to reaching the Muslim middle-east is humbling.

Wake up church
Great synopsis of growth in the Chinese church over the last 50 or so years. It is no wonder the Chinese church is the fastest growing in the world as a result of the faithful and courageous forebearers of the Gospel.

Excellent book
Back to Jerusalem is well written. I highly recommend this book. I knew nothing about China's Christians, their underground church and the back to Jerusalem vision. If you are a Christian. Jesus is your savior and you wish to know what is going on with the Chinese missionaries, you want to read the above book. Also recommended reading, Brother Yun's book Living water and Zhang Rongliang's book I stand with Christ. God is truly at work.

Amazing Story of Uncompromising Love of God
I've read this book, given several copies away, and need to read it again. It is an amazing testimony of God working in adversity with people who are not willing to compromise the truth of Jesus.
