Ideal for cleaning and drying narrow bore instruments
I have a Yamaha Custom Z soprano saxophone and this in one piece, as the neck is permanently fixed to the body.My version has a curved neck and the aperture at the top of the neck where the mouthpiece attaches is only about 8mm in diameter. So this provides a significant challenge when cleaning. This pull through seems ideal for cleaning and drying inside my saxophone. I was very nervous when I first tried it by dropping the weighted ribbon down the bell end., because a different brand got stuck when I did this previously. But despite the narrowness and also the curved neck, this pull through has no problem in dong it’s job.It is well made and should last. However, there were no instructions for using it or how to clean and maintain it although

OK
Not as good as they used to be, using ball bearings as a weight is not as good. Fiddle for age’s getting it to drop down the bell and you need to do it twice to absorb the moisture!

When it arrived ahead of time it was well packaged and of good quality. At first the weighted pull chord stuck ...
I own a Yanisigawa S901 and was a bit concerned that the pull through swab would be suitable as the instrument has a fixed neck with a narrow opening. When it arrived ahead of time it was well packaged and of good quality. At first the weighted pull chord stuck at the neck opening but then I realised it was due to moisture. A good shake released it and it pulled through with no problem.Once the bore was partially dry the chord went straight through.Very good product and good value.

It's ok
It is ok but actually it's a little too narrow to do a really good job - generally one is worried that most pull throughs will be too wide to easily fit through a soprano / its neck and mouthpiece (I once got one stuck and it took me ages to carefully push it back out) but this one errs a little on the slim side. I find my Yamaha monster pull through, designed for alto, actually works best on my soprano too as the material is so thin that it can squeeze through the tighter spaces without a problem.

Not suitable for curved soprano
A really good quality cloth, but the weighted end is too long to get it around the bend of my curved soprano. I've sewn another string to the other end so that I can pull it through with that and pull it back with the weighted end, which works quite well.

Nicely made and effective
Works very well - took a little coaxing to get through the instrument the first time but thereafter has been excellent. Nicely made - recommended.

does not fit
the diameter of the weight on the pull through string is too wide to fit through the end of the Soprano Sax making it useless and not fit for purpose.
