It explains new insights into causation of disease from cell biology advances in the last several years.There is extensive clinical pathological correlation to explain new developments in causation of commonly treated disease, such as advances in causes of neoplasia, cellular mechanisms of immune disease,and infectious disease. I liked the tables at the end ob chapters that provide pathophysiological aspects of measured lab data. Disliked that they removed the annotated bibliography
