There is no expiration date that i'm aware of. This isn't processed cheese, it's real fresh cheese. The older it gets the tangier it gets. I keep mine in a vaccuum sealed (food saver) bag.

Good day. Parmigiano Reggiano belongs to the high quality of italian product. To make this cheese the milk needs to come from the nearby region where it receives rigorous controls. Therefore i must believe this cheese has been manufactured since many years same way and anybody can tell unique taste of this fine product. Then mein Sir, i am not a scientist or a doctor, i couldn't tell more than this.
