CADDYDADDY Constrictor Golf Travel Bag Cover w/Thick Dense Foam Padded Top

I had been looking for a travel bag to protect my golf clubs on a flight from San Francisco, Ca. to Bangkok, Thailand and then onward to Chiang Mai, Thailand. I read some of the reviews of this particular bag as purchased here and although most were positive reviews, there were a few that were not. I took everything with a grain of salt, gave myself the sign of the cross and hit the "go" button, making my purchase. The bag arrived within a few days of placing my order and upon inspection, everything looked to be o.k. I did not notice any issues with the stitching of the fabric. All the seems appeared to be sewn well and straight. The zippers appear to be durable and did not snag when I gave them several runs up and down. I saw that the main zipper as well as the two zippers for the two external pockets are all lockable. There is an internal strap to further secure your golf bag inside the travel bag so as to minimize movement and I can only assume to reduce friction from both bags rubbing together. I think this might reduce the chance of the bag tearing because of that. The internal strap is a bit narrow and elastic. This bag also comes with a pole to protect your clubs from damage. The pole is inserted in your golf bag and is adjustable to the length of your clubs so as to further protect the club heads from damage. In addition to all this, three colored, hard plastic luggage identification tags came with my bag. I'm not sure if it was supposed to come with three or not, but I'm not complaining. There is no external shoulder strap to carry the bag with, but there is a grab handle about mid length on the bag, which goes over the main zipper and another grab handle at the top of the bag as well as a set of wheels on the bottom of the bag which makes it easy to move the bag around. The wheels keep the bag high enough off the ground to prevent the bottom of the bag from getting scuffed when moving the bag around. My MacGregor golf stand / hybrid golf bag fits snuggly in this travel bag. It does make things easier with two people loading the golf bag in the travel bag, but with a little bit of practice, you'll be able to do it yourself without any major issues. Once the golf bag is in the travel bag, you'll see that it's a snug fit and you might not really need to use the internal strap, but since it's there, why not? So far, the bag has done what it's supposed to do. It protected my golf clubs and golf bag. I know that some luggage handles could care less about what happens to the contents of your luggage and that's why I purchased this bag in the first place. This bag not only protected the contents within, it still looks just as good as it did when I unboxed it. Upon further inspection after my travel, there was no noticeable damage to the travel bag that I could see. In short, I'm happy with my purchase and I would recommend this to others if you're looking to protect your clubs.

Great carrier for the price - I've used it on SEVERAL golf trips, including one internationally and it has held up. I would recommend buying a couple of extra straps to help secure this. i've had no issue thus far, but you can tell the plastic connectors on the top straps are not of the greatest quality - and I wouldn't risk them lasting beyond 1 or 2 trips (no one wants to be collecting their luggage in pieces). I use a carry/cart hybrid TaylorMade bag - with +1.5 custom clubs. I'm a big guy, with a big bag. This travel cover holds my clubs, spikes, spare shoes, and you can overpack with enough for 3 day golf trip all in this carrier. If you're using this for airline travel might I suggest packing your clothes in here as well? This bad boy isn't overly padded - and the clothes can help to fill out the top 1/4 of the bag that would be empty otherwise. BONUS: Reduce those baggage fees! Overall this is a BUY. It's not a hard-tac container, but then again you already knew that. If you're buying THIS style bag, for the money - it won't be beat.

Took this bag on a recent golf trip and it held up great. It’s well-padded, fits my clubs and shoes with extra room, and the zippers feel solid. Rolls smoothly through airports and folds down easily for storage. For the price, it’s a great value and gives me peace of mind when flying with my gear.

I bought this to use on a recent golf trip to Myrtle Beach. This travel bag lived up to it's claims. Clubs fit inside very well. The material is great, very strong. The North Pole that came with the bag saved the day. My clubs made it safely to Myrtle Beach and when I took them out of this bag I had found that the North Pole was bent. It bent probably from being tossed around by the airline. The good news was no damage to my clubs. My 500 dollar Callaway driver made it safely and unscathed as the rest of my clubs did too. On the return flight the North Pole saved the day again! My clubs made it home undamaged but the North Pole was further damaged (bent) from airline baggage handling and had to be thrown out. I will definitely order another North Pole without it my clubs would of been damaged. The travel bag did it's job and protected my golf bag and clubs. The bag is great and worth the money!

I bought this travel golf bag after having read all the other reviews. I have used two other bags for my travel before. One was a cloth one that did not have the wheels. Without wheels it was hard to handle it. The other one was a plastic one that had wheels. The plastic one barely survived the travel. The hinges were very delicate. I thought they might break off any time. There are several things I like about this travel bag. 1. It is quite commodious. I could easily insert my golf bag into it without any hitch. 2. It weighs only 8 pounds. My bag ( I presume most of the golf bags with club covers and 14 clubs) weigh 24 pounds or so. So all together it weighs less than 35 pounds. The airlines allow 50 pounds per checked-in bag. 3. The zipper is big and moves easily. 4. It has two handles so that if need be two people can carry the bag. 5. With the golf bag put inside it, it stands up on its own freely. 6. The wheels seem to be sturdy. 7. It has two address label slots. In one I write Golf bag in bold letters. I don't want baggage handlers throw it around like another bag. 8. The two straps that lock easily hold everything together nicely. 9. There are two side bags that can hold golf shoes and other accessories. 10. You can even put some of your other clothing in the side bags. I like it a lot. By the way first put the rain cover of your golf bag on. That makes the top very compact. Insert the bottom of your golf back into the bottom of this travel bag. Set it standing. Gently pull the zipper cover over the golf bag. When you don't use it you can simply fold it into half and store it away I have no connection to the maker of this product. My cheap discount warehouse travel bag gave way at the zipper single stitches on my trip to Phoenix. Previously bag attendants had pulled the mid bag strap handles out the fabric. I needed a bag for my return flight and saw the Caddy Daddy on Amazon with a 3 day delivery. It had over 800 reviews with a high rating a d a year guarantee from airline damage. My full size Callaway stand bag fits easily with the Caddy Daddy. My Taylor Made 3 wood has about 4 inches to spare. I used a bag boy telescoping rod to protect my clubs. The bag has an internal harness and two external harnesses. The bag is good quality fabric with metal rivets and double stitching. Very strong zippers. Padded on all sides at the bag top. It's well designed and well made. It's the best travel bag I've seen at a great price. You could spend a lot more and not get all the features that this bag offers. I highly recommend it. Bag arrived on time as promised.

I purchased CaddyDaddy's Constrictor and Defender bags. Although the Defender is 1 in. shorter and is a bit tight fit for my (typical) 45 in. driver + protective crown, I decided to keep the Defender due to personal preference. I have worn thru 3 travel bags and 2 protective crowns purchased at sporting goods stores over the past 20 yrs. I decided to look on Amazon after a disappointing visit to my local sporting goods store - bags are not what they used to be - now poor quality/high prices ($200 - $300). Why I gave 5 stars (vs other $100-$300 bags online and at sporting goods store): the Constrictor and Defender bags were designed with durability and some extra packing space in mind. The fabric is significantly thicker/stiffer and the zippers are larger/stronger. My travel bag is also part suitcase. I typically throw a pair of gym shoes, flip flops and a couple small bags of clothes in there too. Similar to my previous bags, Constrictor/Defender includes: lower back of bags have riveted plastic skin & rails to protect rolling onto high curbs, airline carts/conveyor dings and Uber drivers jamming bag into tight trunks; and thick padding around clubhead area. If you're looking for a travel bag because you're flying, don't buy a cheap travel bag for your precious clubs and do what my friend did - use towels, bubble wrap and string to cushion. TSA inspects all golf bags. They're in a hurry and don't like having to spend extra time unraveling towels/packaging tape/untying string. After inspection, your cushion won't be cushioning your clubs. If you do buy cheap, include a roll of duct tape in your bag. You may need it on one of your return flights...haha!

I have already taken it on one trip and it held up perfectly. It is thick nylon and very durable. My clubs were protected very well. There is lots of storage in these bags...I came home with about six extra pairs of shoes...still oodles of room. This product beats the prices of the big chains for a quality bag.

High quality material with padded top. No hard cover but should be safe for the clubs. When travelling, you need a good quality bag with tough quality material that does not rip off so easily when handled at the airport and through transportation handling as my previous bag which I only use a couple of times, 4 to be exact. Hope this bag can last more than the previous.

Bought this bag for a Florida golf trip. Both my friend and I both bought new travel golf bags (his being a higher-end brand name)... by the end of the trip his had completely fallen apart and the “Caddy-Daddy” still looked new. Very durable, sturdy and well built with good quality material and stitching. Tons of storage and room, I was able to even pack clothes and shoes, no need for suitcase. Highly recommended!!
