The perfect ventilation fan!
I purchased this 4" duct fan to be used as a ventilation fan in the attic of a second story room above a garage. I am going to be using the room as a gaming/man cave room and wanted a ventilation fan that I could adjust the speed of the fan and be unnoticeable when in the room. This fan works perfectly for the limited space I had to install it in and with the asthetically pleasing LCD controller, this fan met all criteria I had and then some. It gives accurate readings of the air temperature and humidity %. It also, of course, controls the fan speed with 10 program or manually selected speeds. On the lower speeds, the fan virtually cannot be heard which is exactly what I wanted. The higher speeds are noticably louder for obvious reasons but it really moves some air which is the whole purpose of this fan. It has been running continuously for a month now and works flawlessly. Overall, excellent choice for a variable speed duct fan with all the bells and whistles and the best part is, it's a fraction of the cost of similar type fans.

Quality
No problems, better quality than I was expecting for the price I really like the temperature and humidity controller.

Best Fan I Could Find for the Quality & Price, it’s a Steal 👍🏼
This a great fan, it has many uses, high quality control I really like that saves the last setting when power is turned off… I’ve installed many in duct booster fans over the years in my HVAC business, this one is far advanced over the standard type, Always look for EC motors, there Very Quiet, Efficient and Variable Speed with Superior Controls definitely a game changer!

Typical Amazon company dumping garbage on unsuspecting customers
The sensors are garbage. I bought this for use in a greenhouse. After buying it, it sat around for a few months until I actually got everything I needed assembled and ready to be used. The fan worked for 3 weeks. It's very loud, but I don't live in a library, so that didn't bother me. It worked well for 3 weeks, until the Humidity sensor stopped working/reading which made the fan almost not useable. It will not turn on in any mode except just straight fan mode, which is achieved not by setting it, but by pulling the humidity connector out of the controller, which causes the fan to blow on whatever the setting was set to with the probe plugged in. I had to buy a cheap inline fan with a basic controller and now I use my humidifier as a way to automate my grow as vevor doesn't offer any replacement probes or do they replace anything for anyone, apparently, as I called and was told I was beat and then everyone else's reviews verify that they have ZERO intentions for customer service or satisfaction. It's a shame, as it did seem like a great fan... but they have to actually work and last longer than 3 weeks for an $80 greenhouse fan.

Freakin amazing for the price!
I have only been using this fan (8 inch w/ controller) for a few days so this is an initial impression. For those interested, read on later for tests that I conducted. The fan comes with a controller and a temperature and relative humidity sensor. The fan alone WILL run without any of these hooked up, but it will be at full speed. The amazing part is the controller that will allow the fan to be run at ten different speed settings. It appears to draw a lot less current than the fan I replaced, although that was 10 years old or so, and it runs quieter even though it moves the air 12% faster than the old one. It also can be run with only the controller attached but not the T/RH sensor, so unless you need to have it turned on/off at specific T or RH settings, it does not need to be hooked up. I can't imagine buying the model without the controller, which is nearly the same price. Following is the technical information. Speed setting 10 - full: 67 watts, 2800 ft/min (all readings are at no load/resistance right at the fan outlet. Ducting friction will reduce the air flow. For my situation with 3-90 degree elbows and 50 feet of flexible spiral ducting, the outlet is 1600 f/m at the 10 setting); 9: 57 w, 2500 f/m (89% of full speed); 8: 47 w, 2300 f/m, 82%; 7: 41 w, 2200 f/m, 79%; 6: 35 w, 2000 f/m, 71%; 5: 29 w, 1900 f/m, 68%; 4: 24 w, 1800 f/m, 64%; 3: 19 w, 1600 f/m, 57%; 2: 12 w, 1350 f/m, 48%; 1: 6 w, 1000 f/m, 36%. For comparison, another fan I have with a variable speed L to H controller, the lowest speed is 73% of the maximum. If you want a wider range of speeds available, particularly at the slower end, this fan is a fantastic option at an unbelievably low price. I have already ordered several others. Even if it fails in a year or two of nearly continuous use, it is still a great value.

AMAZING POWERFUL FAN
This fan blew me away. I was making a cooling system for my laptop and wanted to run a 4 inch hose trgough the desk to the underside of my laptop. I purchased a random4 inch fan that was not very good so I decided to go larger. I happened to see this fan on sale and thought it may be too good to be true. Well it is not, i was going to go 6 inches but the 8 inch was less than other 6 inch fans so I bought one. The first time I turned this fan on I actually thought my laptop would lift off the desk. I coul only laugh at the amout of overkill for my needs I got. But hey overkill can be good. The little control unit that comes with it is a little chunky when trying to navigate but i like the fact its lit up and you can read it in a dark room. Tge speeds range from 1 to 10 and each one is a clear and progressively higher step in fan speed. I put a 6 inch reducer on my since I had 6 inch ducts alreadynand it was only going two feet from being mounted on my the underside of my desk through the desk to a cistom duct holder and stand for my laptop. I use a custom filter to try and minimize the dust being pumped into the laptop vents. It works really well and i never have to turn it up past 4 and it moves a lot of air. This fan is worth every pennyand it moves so much air that I buy a second one for my den to circulate the ac cool air since i only have one vent in a very large room.. Short answer is this fan is powerful and moves a ton of air!!! You will not regret your purchase and sometimes it half the price of other less powerful fans. I paid 25 percent more than what i paid for my 4 inch fan that wont even blow a piece of paper. The fan can get louder at around the 7-10 range but i was surprised at the quietness in relation to the amout of air being passed through. Over good fan!

Powerful and Quiet, but Controller Could Be Improved
I recently added the VEVOR Inline Duct Fan to my hydroponic setup, and I’m impressed with its performance. The 4-inch fan delivers an impressive 205 CFM, providing strong airflow that keeps my grow tent well-ventilated. It runs quietly, which is essential for my indoor environment, allowing me to focus on my plants without distractions. The integrated temperature and humidity controller is a nice feature, helping me maintain optimal conditions for my plants. It’s straightforward to set up, and having this control makes a big difference in ensuring my plants thrive. However, there are a couple of areas for improvement. While the fan is powerful, I found the controller’s sensitivity could be better calibrated; sometimes, it seems to react slowly to changes in temperature and humidity. Additionally, the fan could be a bit tricky to install in tight spaces due to its design. Overall, the VEVOR Inline Duct Fan is a solid choice for anyone looking to enhance ventilation in their grow tent or hydroponic system. Just be prepared to fine-tune the controller settings for the best results!

Built a poor man's Bedjet/8Sleep bed cooling setup with this
I've always struggled with adequate sleep, often waking up sweating. My Oura ring says I wake up 5-10 times a night. I read about Elon/Zuck touting the 8Sleep solution but no way I can afford $3K to cool down my bed. Then saw the Bedjet and it was still too much to try on a whim. So armed with this duct fan and a length of duct hose, I rigged up a cheap setup to test it out. First, I'm so glad I purchased this model specifically. 1) Speed 1 (lowest speed) is quiet enough to sleep with (almost indiscernible with my ears) and yet provides enough air flow even through 16' of corrugated hose to cool a king sized bed. Many other duct fans I considered only have two speeds which I suspect are both too loud and too much airflow. I will say that 2 is a bit louder and likely tolerable while sleeping, but any of the higher speeds and things get noisy. If you're a fan of white noise, it might work. 2) The temperature and humidity sensor and triggers let me be creative to try and trigger the fan only when temps rise above a set comfort level. Leaving the fan on all night seems to be a bit too cool to fall asleep to. I've only tried it two nights now, but my Oura ring is telling me I'm not waking up in the middle of the night and I'm waking much more rested than I can remember. I initially tried the duct down by my feet but it chills your feet too much so slept with it about 1/3 up the bed mostly chilling the torso. The way your sheets/blanket are situated will really control where air flows. Keep the sheets taught with an exit by your neck and you've got wind flowing along your body (too cold). Create a bubble and it just keeps the area cool without a lot of actual wind exiting the sheets. In the future I want to try and couple of modifications including capping the end of the hose and punching holes along the length and having it lay across the entire length of the bed, and more experiments using the temp/humidity sensor to create something that responds dynamically versus on all night. Highly recommended as a sub-$80 bed jet alternative or to even see if you like it.

Ideal for a shower extraction fan.
I bought this fan to replace an age old extractor fan in my attic space, removing moisture from the bathroom. The extraction power feels twice to three times as powerful which is exactly what I needed. Installation is easy I cut the plug off and put it into an isolator linked to the pull string switch. The controller is nifty, easy to use. The only feature I can't see in the controller is the option to have a trickle speed at certain temps, it's either on or off at the desired speed. For what I need though it's ideal. I just need to get a roof tile vent now to compete the job.
