Replacement battery for TomTom Go 820, Go Live 820, G0 825, Go Live 825, 4ER51, 4ER5.001.01, 4EH52, 4EH51, 4EJ51, 4EJ41, 4ER41, 4ER5

It is a bit fiddly to replace the battery but it does the job and if I can do it then so can you. I followed a Tube video. Basically you prize off the outer casing, undo 4 screws, detach the old battery clips and remove the old battery, connect the new battery, do up the screws and clip the case together. You need a set of tools (cost about £3.50). There are a couple of little tricks... re-connect the battery before putting the circuit board back into place as it is very tight otherwise. You need the plastic prodder from the tool kit to open the case, and also to ease the sim back under the casing at the end. The sat nav now holds its charge and I am very pleased!

exactly what was needed, the fix for tomtom traffic refusing to work (despite having been paid for). as long as one uses common sense (and the resources available such as youtube, seeing how it should be done) replacing the battery isn't all that difficult at all.the battery took charge properly and now runs the tomtom just tickety boohaving heard lots about exploding lithion batteries, it is reassuring to have one from an established manufacturer.

Battery works, only time will tell as to its longevity. Be aware, that the battery you will receive, is the same as the picture, NOT the description. My battery is NOTComposition: Li-PolymerVoltage: 3.7 VCapacity: 1250 mAhCapacity: 4.6 WhIt is however exactly the same as the one in the photo. Also, the spec of this battery is slightly less than the original one I removed.

My satnav could not hold a charge and relied on being plugged into the car. TomTom say that the battery cannot be replaced but I found instructions on YouTube. The toolkit recommended is a must. Following the instructions from YouTube with care I succeeded replacing the battery. My first attempt resulted in failure to start, I discovered that I had accidentally unseated the memory, a push put it back and the satnav is as good as new.Worth the cost of the battery toolkit to have a fully functional satnav again. Just be careful not to damage the components.One thing I did find is that the battery needs to be fitted back to front and upside down as the lead is short, but this did not present a problem.

Brilliant, TomTom stopped working and after viewing YouTube decided it was worth the money to try to change the battery before spending over £200 on a new TomTom.Reviews said that you needed to purchase the tool kit as well and they were right, lucky I included the tool kit in my order, the plastic case opener saved scratching the case and the kit contains the smallest of screwdrivers to fit the screws the heads of which I have never seen before.Followed YouTube instructions and the job was done with a working TomTom in less than thirty mins.Be brave but careful and you may save over £200 as well.Go for it.

Just the job. Fitted well after looking at the video stating to fit it back to front to give that extra mm to lead length. All done and dusted in under ten minutes.

Smaller than the original OEM battery but extends the life of such a great sat nav!

Batterie conforme aux descriptifs, il faut cependant dégager les fils légèrement pour leur donner un peu de longueur.Mon TOM-TOM est réparé et refonctionne.Je recommande ce produit.

Con la nuova batteria, il mo Tom Tom 820 costato piu di 200 euro non ha dato piu' segni di vita quasi da subito.Il venditore in questo caso e' stato onesto e serio e mi ha rimborsato.Mi ha proposto pero' di inviargli il telefono rimborsandomi le spese di spedizione.Non capisco il perché',che lo ripari e poi lo rivenda dopo avermelo fulminato?Non e' stato chiaro.

Cette batterie n’est qu’une petite réserve tampon. Effectivement, elle permet juste de faire fonctionner le bip et recherche d’infos. Avec l’ancienne batterie, dès qu’un radar était annoncé, le GPS s’éteignait avec le signal sonore. Avec une batterie neuve, il continue de fonctionner normalement. Si le GPS n’est pas branché sur une source, cette batterie ne permet pas de le configurer un trajet, le GPS s’éteint au bout de peu de minutes.
