After purchasing Nespresso and Lavazza brand espresso pods for years, we decided to try Amazon's version. We love them! For what they are, we give them a 5 out of 5. If I were to directly compare them to Nespresso, I'd give them a 4 out of 5. Price can't be beat at $0.30 a pod! At that price (50 for $15), you can afford to try them out. I almost want to give them a bad review to keep everyone else from buying them up! Because often, when I go to order, they're sold out for weeks at a time. They fit perfectly in our Nespresso Essenza Mini machine. We've been purchasing these off and on for over a year. So this review is based on long term use. We almost never receive damaged pods (once I think, and only part of one sleeve was damaged). They consistently brew with a good crema on top. Not sure if that's due to quality of pods or just our machine. They're good on their own or in a homemade latte (try using warmed whole milk or oat milk, a little maple syrup, little dark brown sugar, a small pat of butter, two pinches of salt, add 2 espresso shots & stir...divine!).

These pods are great at this price. I hope Amazon doesn't discontinue making them, even though they closed all the Amazon Fresh stores. The ones I ordered will expire in October this year, which is kind of a bummer, but I am going to use 2 each time to make iced coffee, so 50 pods can make 25 cups, and I think I can finish them this summer.

Currently brewing the brown packaged Lungo Intenso. The first time I swore my milk had gone bad, but it was fine for other coffees and normal drinking. Second brew I tasted black and it was also off so I had to use cream and a pinch of chai spice. Third brew I did a normal espresso pull (instead of the longer Lungo) and, yep, it was concentrated sour. I'm a bold dark roast girlie (Espresso Intenso, lilac package, 5 stars, no notes) plus I can handle a medium and the occasional house blend, but the Lungo was not a winner. I've tried just about every Nespresso-compatible coffee pod I could find, and these are still my absolute favorite. The flavor is incredibly smooth, rich, and creamy without being bitter or overly acidic. Every cup has a beautiful crema and tastes consistently delicious. These pods fit and work perfectly in my Nespresso machine, and I've also used them successfully in other compatible machines, including the Philips L'Or Barista with excellent results every time. The extraction is consistent, and the coffee comes out just as flavorful and creamy. I also buy the stronger variety pack from this same line, and it never disappoints either. Whether I'm in the mood for a milder cup or something with a bolder kick, the quality is always excellent. If you're looking for smooth, well-balanced coffee that performs great across compatible machines and tastes much more premium than the price suggests, I highly recommend these. They've become a permanent staple in my coffee collection.

I have tried so many different brands of espresso for our L'or Barista machine, and Amazon's brand is a top contender! I love the different roasts in this variety pack - I tend to drink coffee throughout the day, and my tastes can vary by the time of day! These blends are extremely palatable with low acidity - great drinkability, even without adding a creamer or sweetener. The pods fit perfectly in the L'or machine, and I love how easy they are to pop in the holder - no fuss. If you're looking for an affordable espresso capsule that has high-end quality, look no further!
