Glow In The Dark Acrylic Paint - Fluorescent Paints with 5+ Color Options for Art Paintings, Decorations, Outdoor & Indoor Art Craft for Adults, Students and Kids - 1 Ounce (Fluorescent Green)

This paint did exactly what I wanted it to do - make the hands of a glow in the dark clock I printed on my 3D printer glow as well as the clock did. The first thing to keep in mind about this kind of paint is that the glow comes from small particles of phosphorescent materials suspended in the paint - and unlike pigment based paints the body of the paint must remain translucent to allow light in to charge the particles, and back out to see the glow. Subsequently you don't get the same type of coverage you would with a normal pigment based paint, instead you have to lay down several coats. It strongly reminds me of dough nut glaze in appearance and texture until it dries. It hardens well once it dries but still resembles a glaze. If you are picky about lumps etc. in the surface you will have to allow extra drying time between coats and/or do some sanding to smooth it out. In my application you can't see any lumps if you are at a normal distance from the clock. Charging it with a UV light gives a nice steady glow that is a different shade than the background of the clock and makes it easy to read in darkness or low light. As with all glow in the dark stuff the glow fades gradually but it holds it's own with the clock plastic so I'm happy. Although it didn't say anything on the bottle, you can clean your brushes with acetone assuming the brushes aren't soluble in acetone, but it cleans the paint right off. Some other paint thinners may also work but acetone was right there so I didn't experiment. Now I'm curious to try the red but I don't have any projects for it right now.

Wow this paint really glows under a black light. We used it for a Halloween costume in an area with ambient UV black lighting and it glowed a true vibrant red color. This is the only red glow paint I’ve used that is actually RED. So major points for that. I thought the 1oz jar would be a bit small, but it ended up being more than enough for the detail painting we used it for. We only needed one coat of paint to get a good opaque glow result. A little goes a long way It has pretty decent staying power on fabric.. I accidentally spilled some on an old cotton tshirt and it’s still on after a couple washes. On the flip side, we used a little bit as body paint (do so at your own risk), and it worked well- no adverse reactions and was easy to wash off skin. The price is fair (compared to other glow paints on the market). It may seem a bit expensive for the amount (1oz) but the quality is there. Glows better than any other paint I’ve tried. This is now my go-to for glow in the dark paint supplies.

This arrived three days ago and there have been NO freezes. I know the product information says not to let it freeze or it will remain solid, but there was no way this was frozen and it arrived in a solid, almost spongy chunk. I tried putting a little water on it to see if I could still use it, but it just absorbed the water and remained solid and spongy, and when I pressed on the sponginess the water seeped back out. I wish I'd read the reviews more carefully because it looks like a lot of other people had this problem. What a bummer.

I used this to fill incised letters on a 3d printed light switch cover. I think it would have worked better if I had used an underlayment of white before painting with this. All in all I was satisfied with the results.

I used this paint to try and create a glow-in-the-dark fishing fly. To that end, it wasn't much of a success. YES, it is very easy to apply and yes it does definitely glow, but this particular application wouldn't be sustainable for in-field use. I think that these paints would work very well for a poster or art piece that is generally in the daylight and is expected to shine for short durations when the lights are out. From my tests, if I charge them with 60w LED bulbs for 30 seconds, I would get a commensurate amount of time with a good shine. After about 3 minutes, there is just a faint glow regardless of time charging.

My 14 y.o. grandson wanted to be a plague doctor for the Halloween dance. Unfortunately, a plague doctor is totally black. But, the great thing is the whole room is lit by black light. This doesn't "charge" as such, but if you want to read by it, shine a black light on it! We did the gloves on the palms and fingers, the nose and all the rivets on the mask. His cowl had gold "leather" around the hood and the bottom. I painted that too. My one caution - DO NOT get it on any other part, pleather or fabric. It will not come off! Not even under shoe polish!

I ordered the neutral aqua and neutral green. I am trying to create light curtains as a back drop using cotton crochet thread 6 feet long. it works, the neutral green gives the brightest glow in the dark compared to the neutral aqua. Charging it by exposing under the sun is quick, for few seconds it is already glowing. I hanged it inside my walk-in closet to see how long the glow will last, unfortunately the glow only lasted for few mins. (The website says, the green will glow to last for 10 hours). Charging it by using flashlight will work too. ( I used 350 lumen LED handheld flashlight) the glow came on quick. Overall i love this product, i just wish the glow will last longer without to constantly charge it every few mins. The customer service is excellent. Thank you my ordered arrived on time as promised.

I used this paint on an interior light switch and tried to recharge it with a black light but the glow-in-the-dark effect was spotty and barely visible even for 10 minutes. I also tried it on an outside doorbell and even the sun didn't recharge this florescent paint. Upon opening and even trying to stir it, it has a consistency of a gloppy-glue so isn't easy to paint on anything to begin with, but is nearly invisible once dry. Overall a complete waste of money.
