If buying these for a newborn you might want to buy the same companies small teat attachments. These come with a medium size that my newborn didn’t take to. She was fine once we started using the smaller ones we bought here on Amazon.It took a couple tries to get our baby used to the bottle when exclusively breast feeding. But after a couple days she was fine with them.They have anti colic as well which so far has worked well. We sterilise them in the same brands microwave steriliser so they are safe to use in the microwave.

I got a newborn Tommie tippie started set for my baby girl as my son used those and was fine however my daughter didn’t like the teat as she used the cow and gate ready made milk bottles from birth. However as soon as I tried the nuk bottles and teat it was perfect for her and she took a liking to it straight away. The temperature control feature is also very helpful. The only negative for me is thatIf the bottle tips over the milk builds up in the lid. So when you take the lid off there is a build up of milk.

These are good bottles and as with many other bottles, the baby didn't mind the teat at all. The only issue I have is the "air hole" (or "vent") is not very reliable. If it's at the top, the baby's nose is blocking it and a few times I need to pull the bottle away from her mouth so air can go it. If you put the whole at the bottom, the milk leaks. So not quite sure what the point of this is.Also, compared with other manufacturers, the teats are one-size for 6-18m which I think is not very good. For older babies the opening should be a bit bigger. Apart from the fact that our baby blocks the vent, she also has to suck so hard on the teat because not much is coming out. I think it would be better if there'd be another size for the bigger babies/toddlers.The size and the shape of the bottle is perfect, can also be used easily with the TommeTippee Day&Night Prep. Baby can hold the bottle by herself. Though warning: if you are used to other brands... this lid only twists twice. Other bottles (we're also using Dr Brown's) twist 4-5 times. A few times I was so used to the other bottles I accidentally dropped the bottle when unscrewing, obviously making a big mess.

The media could not be loaded. I have used the old nuk bottles in the past and didn't have a problem with them other then the shape of the nipple. Seeing the new ones I thought I would give it a go. I'm glad I didn't just give it without checking it out first!The flow is way to fast to be advertised as 6 months, as soon as any pressure is added it is basically a free fall! I would give this to a one year old not a 6 month old. The air valve also squirts milk out at any pressure added! If you have a little one who likes to lay on their back and guzzle milk, it isn't an option with this bottle! Just as much milk comes out the air valve as it does the actual teat! Would easily go up a little ones nose and choke them out.Safe to say I'm glad I only brought one and definitely won't be going near my little one with it!
