Dripex Self Adhesive Aluminium Foil Insulation Roll 7mm x 50cm x 10m

Bought this for my camper conversion. Works really well for sound deadening and stopping road noise. Certainly makes a difference regarding insulation. I used foil tape over all the joints so it becomes a vapour barrier. The foil face is though and doesn’t puncture through normal handling. Easy to install and sticks really well so make sure it’s positioned correctly when applying. Once stuck down it’s not coming off. Easy to cut with large scissors and the marking on the foil help with cutting to size. Great product.

It works.

I cut several layers & stuck them together to insulate the lid of my attic hatch as this product is lightweight, but with apparently good thermal properties. The backing adhesive was far stickier than I'd expected although peeling the film backing off was still relatively easy.

Overall this insulation is good value but I found it slightly harder to work with than other premium brands. This is fine if it's being used behind a solid screen but i have found the foil bubbles so can't be used if you want to apply a finish directly to the surface. The adhesive is very sticky so repositioning or squeezing into small gaps is challenging, frustratingly removing the backing plastic occasionally removes the adhesive glue or tears hindering use in tight spaces.

I bought this to insulate a van we are converting into a camper. It fits the bill perfectly. Easily cut to size and once it's been put into place it ain't coming off again! That is it's only downside. If you don't get it in the right spot first time it's very difficult to adjust. But, it keeps the warmth in and also helps with sound deadening. I used aluminium tape to seal all joins and edges. Very pleased with this product.

Bought to line a box trailer. Had a nightmare cutting it with a stanley knife as the adhesive gets on the knife and stops it cutting all the way through. Kitchen scissors worked a lot better. The paper backing sent me west as it rips when you try taking it off so comes off in bits. If the adhesive touches anything by accident the foam comes off so you get lovely black bits of foam stuck all over the place especially on your hands. My advice is use in big continuous peices to avoid cutting as much as poss and peel as you lay it. Once applied its great stuff and works as needed and was a bargain price with 30% off voucher. The temperature has dropped considerably in the trailer even with full sun on it.

Used this to help insulate the back of my metal up-and-over garage door. It has made a marked difference to the heat retained in my integral garage, making a noticeable improvement to the bedroom above. It also doubles as noise insulation when placed inside a car door and underneath the cars carpeting. The product will adhere to pretty much anything as its exceptionally sticky. Just make sure you position correctly as it so sticky that repositioning can be difficult. Well recommended
