Do Not Waste you money!
Have gad to order 2 of these things. They are utter crap. They are cheaply made and poorly assembled. On top of the frustration in both deliveries the supposedly included central axis needle is nor included. This renders the thing completrly useless. I had to shave down a toothpick to make an axis needle. Don't Waste Your Money. Addendum: it's flimsy constriction majes for inaccurate use with corcles its supposed to draw being off center and not evenly circular. More like a wavy spirel. If I could give it fewer stars I would.

If you need to a large draw circles or arcs, don't hesitate just buy it!
Excellent product that is very easy to use, just tap a small finish nail in and your good to go. Sure beats a nail and string any day, holds pencil well. The tape measure portion is pretty accurate, the only variance really come in the size of pencil used, I say always double check that radius you are looking for with another tape measure.

Good - Room for Improvement
On the upside this is GREAT for what it does - draw big circle. I build sets for a community theatre and often need to fabricate something with a curved edge or a circle element. This is THE tool for it - way better than a string or drilling a hole in a yard stick/board. Downside: NEEDS TO ALLOW FOR A SCREW/NAIL AS CENTER PIN The center hole is tiny - pencil lead size - and a SEPARATE metal "pin" that you put through this hole to set the center of your circle. It works well, but keeping up with that tiny pin over time is going to be difficult. If the hole where big enough to fit a standard drywall screw, anyone can replace a lost pin easily. FIX THIS AND I WOULD RE-BUY AND GIVE 5 STARS! Warning: YOU MUST NOT RETRACT THE HEAD TOO FAST if you simple release the tape to retract on its own, the extra weight of the head will whip violently enough to bend the tape permanently at the tip (already happened to me) and likely would break it off entirely over time. Maybe the spring is overpowered? Best to retract the tape manually!

Tool sucks but is fixable with 3D printing.
This tool really sucks as it came. Sloppy, inaccurate, no pin storage. The tape is also extremely thin (0.08mm vs ~0.12mm on regular tapes) so if you aren't gentle with it and rotate it in the correct direction it will buckle. I would not buy this unless you can fix it. Like others mentioned the hole is way too big (3mm hole for 2mm pin) so the slop is crazy. I 3D printed a bushing to glue in the bottom so the pin locks into the center and only comes out the bottom a bit. The tape measure was off enough to bother me so I designed an adjustable pen holder so you can set it exactly where it should be, or adjust it if you use different sized pens. I also just drilled a small hole as pictured so I can keep the pin with the tool. Files are on printable or makerworld.

Not impressed with accuracy or overall quality
Does the job itโs intended to do but I wasnโt overly impressed. Itโs hard to know what length you are actually measuring at. The tape measure portion has a bottom lip. I wasnโt sure if I should be lining up the measurement to the top part or bottom part. When drawing circles, the tape measure part was flimsy and I was worried I would pull the pencil out further as I went around the circle. There was no way to โlock itโ into place. The center pin fell out not long after we opened the package. We never did find it. We used a small nail in its place

Rotate tape compass
Considering how much this costs, I'm very disappointed. I have been searching forever for a compass that can actually draw large circles. It is almost impossible to tighten pencil holder screw, it's extremely hard to turn and actually hurts. I ended up having to use my shirt over my thumb. Not sure how the pin actually works as when you put it in the designated hole, it's not exactly sitting in there tightly. Quite a bit of give. Save your money. ๐

No lock for length
The device is ineffective because there is no way to stop the tape from extending out when drawing the arc. There should be a way to lock the length because while drawing the tape keeps extending due to centrifugal force.
