I’m not usually a fan of oud, but this fragrance FAR exceeded my expectations. Deep, sultry rose, slightly skanky smoky oud, and sweet, melty caramel are blended exceedingly well. Incredible longevity and projection. This perfume is SWEET, but with a strong woody oud backbone. The rose in this fragrance is the deepest red, woody and slightly spicy to my nose. Rich, decadent, velevety caramel wraps the other two notes and makes this fragrance incredibly feminine. I sprayed TWO sprays on my skin and eight hours later I was still enjoying this fragrance, getting whiffs as I moved around. Projection is intense and beyond arm’s length- people will notice, so spray with this in mind. There’s a reason this fragrance has a reputation as a beast! I’ve heard that it gets better as it macerates, so I’m looking forward to an even better experience over time. I would NOT say that this is a safe blind but unless you know you like fragrances with rose-oud combinations. UPDATE: 10/24 This fragrance has only increased in quality as it has aged! It’s one of my very favorites, and my husband loves it on me. Now, over a year later, this fragrance is much less rose-centric and the sugary caramel and dark oud are most prominent. Extremely enjoyable and an incredible buy at this price!

I love this fragrance although not by itself. It's a very strong spicy oud with nutmeg, a bit of dark saffron and a sweet amber vanilla at the end. The official notes say there is cinnamon in there which is why I bought this in the first place but there is no cinnamon, just nutmeg and a woody saffron. A strong cinnamon would've made this even better but I love this fragrance as is. I could definitely see this being an offensive fragrance with how strong and spicy it is but I love it and layer it with many fragrances. It goes well with lavender, apple, boozy, leather, plum, cherry, tobacco, pepper, or just any dark fragrances. Longevity is great with 4 hours of strong projection 3 hours of medium projection then 4+ hours of being a skin scent of oud, vanilla, and amber. I just can't see this being a scent used by itself unless you have very middle eastern preferences. This fragrance is VERY STRONG so if you're layering just use 2-4 sprays max of this and 4-8 sprays of whatever you're putting with this. Usually I do a 1:4 ratio.

Recently, I have been getting into the Arabian perfume trend… I have Lattafa Yara Moi and Lattafa Ansaam Gold which is a very similar dupe for Love Killian’s Don’t Be Shy. Whenever I wear both scents I get many compliments. I wear Lattafa Yara Moi in the daytime and Ansaam gold in the evenings. I had purchased Moi in-person and did a blind buy for Ansaam which ended up smelling amazing. Unfortunately after blind buying and smelling Lattafa Oud Mood (after receiving it in the mail,) I wanted to throw up. I really did want to smell like Vanilla, musky, and whatever else the notes are in this EDP but to be honest, this smells horrible. I was told by someone that it smells almost like a barbershop and I couldn’t agree more. It definitely is not feminine as it is a VERY masculine scent. It literally smells like incense and smoke. I have been wearing it for about half an hour to test it out and every time I take a whiff of my wrist I get nauseous. It is very overpowering and too strong for my taste. It is very difficult to purchase Lattafa perfumes online with only reviews to go off of. I had very high hopes for this Oud Mood and am very disappointed. I will keep it however to see if/how I can layer it with other perfumes. If there is any chance were you can find any Lattafa perfumes in person (maybe in like a mall or perfume shop,) it’s better to always test them out (and pretty much any) type of perfume in-person so you see how the scent goes with your body chemistry.

This was a complete blind buy as well as my first time trying not only an Oud fragrance, but an Arabian perfume as well. Firstly, this fragrance came impeccably, beautifully and securely packaged. The cylindrical vessel the actual fragrance was housed in was so pretty and ould look so good on display. The bottle was just as well nice. You could immediately feel that the presentation was very well thought out to showcase the main event, the actual fragrance. It was definitely "Giving" sensory experience vibes. The scent is to me very sexy, sensual, and alluring and it definitely projects. It will absolutely garner attention and draw people into your space. It is a little intense at first, but the dry down is amazing and had me in a chokehold. The stay power on the skin was great and on clothes crazyy good. The scent to me was warm, beautiful and unique as a stand alone fragrance and I can't wait to play around with layering with other scents. Now with all that being said, I must let you know that you do not I repeat DO NOT need to use multiple sprays of this. If you do you may find it to be too over powering or off putting. I love it and it will last a very long time.

I came to update this review with a couple more stars. A month later, I'm learning that maceration is real. My first review said, "this smell terrible to me, like smoke from burning wood. It’s long lasting so I smelt like burning wood all day. The bottle is okay, but if I wanted a nice bottle, I would have gone to Home Goods. Not happy! It stinks!". Now, it smells a little better. It is wearable not by me. Nor will I buy it again, obviously. It's not to my liking but not as bad as I first thought at first sniff.

I just received my bottle ...that EVERYONE LOVES! I've been on the edge of my seat waiting to try my OUD adventure! This was noted to be for a beginner, and for the price it was worth the anticipation! I also received Ajayab Dubai Portrait at the same time (see my review). At first smell of OUD MOOD on my wrist I had mixed emotions, but again, first impressions are not always correct. Your scent familiarity becomes accustomed to the familiar, but my mixed emotions wouldn't let me rest. A reviewer indicated this one is like the original home-grown OUD popular in Dubai, saying it's very strong and didn't wash off after a shower but remained a skin scent the next day! I have smelled this on some of my friends but didn't realize it was OUD. With this said, the OUD in Ajayab Dubai Portrait is like a lovely wave that continues on and on to sultry which is very sexy for evening and I love that it's not similar to OUD Mood but smoky and nice. I'm not sure OUD Mood has the power's of attraction for me. I received this package much sooner than expected! I very much appreciate this! UPDATE: After a few days, I have to say I Do LOVE this OUD. I spray just a little on my wrists every morning just for the joy of this beautiful aroma. It is very addictive and lasts 10+ hours on my skin and continues to develop gorgeously on my skin. Sultry and smokey. It' a love for me. I think the OUD journey should be mandated as therapy for sadness for it's grounding and uplifting aroma. THANK YOU LATTAFA!
