I always use it when I’m using a retinoid but great for daily use (mornings and evenings)

I've tried plenty of barrier creams over the years, and this is one I always like to keep at home. Whenever my skin feels irritated, over-exfoliated, or a little sensitive from using retinoids, this balm helps it feel comfortable again. The texture is quite thick, so I prefer using it as the last step of my evening routine rather than as a regular moisturiser. It creates a protective layer without feeling overly greasy, and by the next morning my skin usually looks calmer and feels much less tight. A little goes a long way, so one tube lasts much longer than I expected. I mainly use it when my skin needs extra care instead of every single day. One thing to keep in mind is that it's a rich balm, so it may not suit everyone, especially if you have very oily or acne-prone skin. I think it works best as a targeted repair product rather than an everyday face cream. It's an excellent product to have on hand whenever your skin barrier needs some extra support. It's become a staple in my skincare routine, especially after stronger active ingredients or during colder weather.

I bought this specifically to use after a medium-strength algae peel (the kind that leaves your skin quite red, raw and peeling for a few days). From the moment I applied it, it felt incredibly soothing. The thick balm texture is rich but not greasy – it sinks in well without leaving a sticky film. The burning and stinging stopped almost immediately, and it kept my skin comfortable throughout the day and night. By day 2, the redness had calmed down noticeably, and by day 4 the peeling had slowed and the new skin underneath looked much smoother and less irritated. Omg , cant believe I have only just discovered this ! For the last few peri menopausal years I have really suffered from extremely itchy , red , ultra sensitive skin on my face , arms and neck area ..i really have tried everything ..only to sometimes have to wash it off immediately to stop the stinging . The doctor just reccomended I use nothing other than water but I felt sure that there must be something out there ! Im hoping its this . It has literally just been delivered and ive put some on my arms and face . No reaction, no stinging or burning sensation. No itch . Just soothed and soft again. Thankyou , will definitely be purchasing again if this success continues...and reccomending it to my doctor! 🙂

After trying so many products, this is the one that really helped calm my skin and restore my skin barrier. It keeps my skin feeling hydrated without making it greasy or causing breakouts, which is hard to find when you have acne-prone skin. I have dry skin and bought Cicaplast after reading many positive reviews. I’ve tried numerous moisturisers in the past, but most of them made my skin feel even drier. This balm was a pleasant surprise. I use it once or twice a day depending on the need. It has a slightly oily consistency, so you only need a small amount, otherwise it can leave your skin greasy with a noticeable white cast. That said, it’s a repair balm, not a regular moisturiser, so a bit of greasiness is expected and even helpful for barrier protection. It makes my skin feel soft and soothed without clogging my pores. One thing to note: the packaging advises not to apply it around the eye contour area, so I’ve avoided that. Overall, it’s a great product for calming and restoring dry, irritated skin; just be mindful of how much you use.

10 stars! This cream has been amazing. I had a really bad reaction to vitamin C serum (burning face followed by puffiness, weeping blisters, dry, itchy skin). I used this cream from the start and it was soothing over the first few days and then clearly helped my skin heal as within 7 days I was almost back to normal, 10 days and you wouldn’t have known anything had happened. Bonus is my skin is even better after slathering it all over my face every few hours for 10 days, smoother and wrinkles less visible - a friend commented on how good my skin was looking!

I never leave reviews, however feel this one deserves it for anyone like me. My skin is really complex, very inflammatory, more alike to impetigo (it isn’t though) than traditional acne. Doesn’t respond to acne products, just makes the soreness worse. It ends up scabby and sore and quite frankly, I can look like I’m on meth. This has transformed my skin within days. I bought it on a whim after looking for scar treatments. I dunno what it’s done, or why, but the outcome has been dramatic. My sore bits have healed 80% in literal days, even the really active angry bits. My complexion is so much brighter. My only slight complaint/concern is it’s actually a little drying for a super soothing cream so feel like I need to lather it on (weird for acne prone skin), and as a result you end up with a bit of a film on your skin when you wash it the next day, but otherwise my skin is loving it. I don’t have particularly oily skin, generally very thirsty but not dry (?!). So think anyone with irritated skin, even if it’s active and scabby and sore would really benefit from this cream. I can’t believe I’ve only found it now.

Bin in den Wechseljahren, meine Haut flippt auch aus. Teure Cremes haben nichts für mich getan, hochwertige Marken-Naturkosmetik, danach ist es eskaliert. Starke Hautreizungen im Gesicht, Hals und Dekolleté. Zur Apotheke, sollte erstmal auf alles verzichten, nur Wasser zum waschen, sonst nix. So ganz ohne, Haut spannte. So kam ich dann zu dieser Creme. Hab erst Proben in der Apotheke bekommen, bin am nächsten Tag wieder hin und hab sie mir gekauft. Rötungen, Juckreiz sofort weg. Ausschlag nach etwa 5 Tagen. Ist erst sehr „fettig“, zieht aber gut ein und meine Haut strahlt. Nehme nur noch diese Creme, inzwischen auch die passende Waschlotion fürs Gesicht und natürlich ordentlich Sonnenschutz. Die Creme hier ist mit spanischer Aufschrift, ca. 6 Euro gespart, Inhalt ist identisch.
