Works at times, extremely cheap construction
Purchased this based on reviews. Here's my honest opinion.Location is by far the most important. I've noticed that corners in warmth / direct light seem to capture the wasps best as this is where they're most likely to congregate. When placed in the middle of a long straight wall along the side of my house I got 1 wasp in 24 hours. Corner where 2 walls meet, anywhere from 10-14 wasps per 24hrs.The actual container only allows for appx 1" of liquid because there's a non watertight seam along the plastic base. The bottom dish basically snaps into the hive plastic mold. On a hot day, expect all the liquid to evaporate. Requires daily attention / cleaning. Trap can't be sticky on the outside, otherwise wasps land on it for nourishment and then don't venture inside. This brings me to another problem. It's easily susceptible to leakage and creating a sticky mess on a deck if not hung very carefully due to the seam. This is not ideal, as anything sticky that drips will attract even more wasps / ants onto a deck. The construction and quality of the plastic is extremely cheap. Thinnest, lowest grade plastic possible. Unclipping the hive apart I snapped a clip that holds it together. Still usable for now, but if another clip snaps it will likely fail.Overall it works but this a very cheaply made product worth half what it should. For this, I'm deducting 2 stars. I'm not sure it even makes a difference as there's endless amounts of wasps that keep coming, but it feels good to send a few to the gates of hell.

These Traps WORK!
I don't always leave reviews, but I thought I needed to let you guys know that these traps definitely do what they are supposed to do! We have a HORRIBLE wasp problem, and have tried spray, professional spray, powder, you name it. While these aren't for stopping the wasps at the source, the definitely help cut down on the numbers. The photo shows two traps that were set in the same area, after only TWO days. There are 50+ wasps PER TRAP. I use the following recipe: 1/2 to 1/3 cup of orange soda (not diet), about a shot of apple cider vinegar, and 4-5 drops of dish soap.

Really does the job!
I bought this based on the total number of reviews and overall rating compared to other examples.Based on reviews, it was pretty sturdy for a plastic item based on ABS material. I didn't want orange, but there was only one choice, and how well it works is what counts, right?I knew it could have some liquid spills if overfilled, but despite the limitation, it was still supposed to hold a decent amount of liquid. The liquid bait is the real star, but having holes they can't escape is critical. My bait was loosely based on many recipes I found online. I used 3 T of table sugar, 45 ml of white vinegar, and 45 ml of red wine. Since I was setting out two traps, I added a squirt of fish sauce to the bait in one of the traps—no difference between them based on the results. They both attracted the same number of wasps. I got about 10 in each one over three days. None since. No escapes!I must have gotten all the queens, so unless more queens move into the area, I should be free from wasps for the season. I'll keep traps going for the whole year because I'm curious to see if it matters for next year or if I can quit after spring.Overall I love the results. This is an excellent product, and when it comes time to replace the traps due to sun exposure, I will repurchase these.

Wow!
It works so well that the recipe I used from the booklet has dried up and I've got live fly and wasps in it that I'm afraid to clean out without completely drowning both traps in a utility trap first so I can start the process again. They are full!!!! Just squeamish of cleaning them out. Hopefully this summer we'll be able to use our deck and completely defeat the thousands of wasps living inside our building's brick inner exterior.Got a 5 Gallon bucket, submerged them with the top still on and string taped to the outside to make sure all occupants were good and dead then I carefully pulled them out, took the tops off and dumped the inhabitants. I was able to spray them out and the dehydrated contents out without touching a single bug.I'll start the game all over again with potential new victims. After all these years of not being able to use the deck and the wasps coming in, I'm happy to see them die without having to spray them with the pungent spray.

Best so far out of 3 Different Wasp Traps
I’ve bought 3 different types. These are, by far, the best. The quality of the plastic is not so good, but they do the job. Wish there was a “Made in the USA” brand of better quality. But I have ordered this twice now, and they do the job. PS: I do put tape at the seam at the bottom as extra reinforcement.

Great for catching gnats also wasp will take a few days.
Wasn’t sure the first couple of days until the wasp finally found the traps! They work great! Even better the 2nd time I put them up!!

Came broken
I really wanted to like this product but it came broken and I didn’t realize until I opened it a few weeks after purchasing so I was unable to return. I also think the string should have a snap for when you need to take it down to refill

Kinda worked?
I followed the directions and made a recipe from the instructions. Hung these outside where there are a tremendous amount of paper wasps. Watched them fly right by and pay no attention to the trap throughout the day. However, after a few days I needed to replace the hook I had it hanging on. I placed it on my front deck and forgot about it for a couple days. When I got back to it, it was filled with palmetto bugs. It definitely trapped something!
