I needed this for an unusual reason. I go to coffee shops and need to charge my electronics there. And this one shop has crappy worn out AC outlets. Two prong plugs will fall out just looking at them. I wanted a three prong plug that wouldn't stick out to far. And this plug does the trick. I carry it around town in my backpack. I can't imagine traveling with it on an airplane or even carrying it in a car. The product description suggests that is a major reason to buy it. I guess it could be for someone. But - this is one of the best built adaptors I've seen in quite a while. It is seriously built. Solid. Good design. Excellent construction and materials. If you needed a 90 degree adaptor for use full time for a stereo, microwave, lights, etc. that is equal to or lower than this plug's rating, this is the best I can imagine getting. Far better than the local hardware or DIY store stock. It is heavy though. Solid.

These have been handy and lightweight items to help me maximize or improve space on the countertops and other areas around the house. Helps to keep power cords from sticking out too far. Recommended to anyone who has power cords that seem to be a nuisance.

I bought this because my rental installed a new outdoor water heater, and when I looked at it, the new heater had a straight plug that did not fit into the outdoor outlet enclosure, leaving its cover open and the outlet exposed to weather. This probably would have shorted out during rain. I needed a way to covert the water heater plug to a right angle so I could close the cover. Everything else required cutting off and resoldering the plug. With this adapter, I was able to just plug in the existing plug, and close the outlet cover. It’s inexpensive and easy, and the plug fits tightly.

Good product, heavy duty construction?

This is very good quality product, however my need is little different when I turn cargo van into camper van I made a mistake by putting shore power outlet on passenger side and when I open sliding door the electric cord is rubbing against the door and this always bothers me, this could have been perfect except outlet from van is male so when I insert this adapter it faces up, I would have preferred facing down, but facing up is better than rubbing and possibly becoming unplugged.

You can push tv consoles right up to the wall only restricted by the thickness of the plug. No more wide cord loop keeping the console about 6 inches away from the wall. Great price. Heavy duty and sturdy. Immediate shipping
