Works as described

Works as intended. Sends sega genesis console signal to tv through hdmi port. I'm using this device with a model 1 sega genesis to a 2016 Samsung 1080p TV. I have not tried it on my newer 4k TV or gaming monitor. I noticed the screen looks improved over a standard av cord and my sound quality is actually coming in much louder and better. The sound improvement was a surprise. If you want something quick and simple to get you retro gaming it's work it's price. At least it was for me.

This cable will plug in and will produce an image but it will be absolutely washed out and the colors will be incorrect I've tried 2 in a row now and I would just save my money if I were you

I never thought I would have an excuse to bring one of my oldest consoles out of mothballs. But it looks like some mad genius went and made an adapter kit that actually does what it advertises! I have nothing else to share but a big ol' thanks!

You may still have to purchase an HDMI cable as it didn't come with one and I had to have one. Also the cord you plug into your Sega (not the one for the power block but the other) is nearly too big around to go through the hole in the console. It's a very tight fit. But it does work! I gave for stars because it didn't come with an HDMI cable and from the sale post and it's details I believed it had everything I would need.

This is a huge improvement over the coax connector that the system originally comes with. It’s like night and day if you look at the differences. Completely worth it if you Want to play on newer Televisions

Allows you to connect your old Sega Genesis/ Mega Drive with your new TV. Do not expect high definition as this is impossible due to technical limitations (search online to learn why). But the cable does the work and it's affordable.

Okay if you do not have composite inputs and don’t want to spend the money on a SCART-based upscaler. The positives and negative listed below are illustrated in the attached image. (+) As advertised, it allows you to connect your console to your TV via HDMI. (+) The display is a lot sharper, which reduces eye fatigue. (-) The sharpening seems to have eliminated antialiasing as edges are jagged. (-) Vertical bars appear as artifacts in the video and are somewhat distracting. Overall, if I did not want to spend the money on a SCART-based upscaler, this would be suiteable for TVs without composite A/V inputs. Ultimately, I returned it to try a SCART-based upscaler.

Adaptateur testé avec une NEO GEO AES JAP. Image de très bonne qualité en 16/9 et 4/3 sur mon écran 4K TCL. J'ai eu de biens meilleur résultats quand passant par un convertisseur SCART RGB to HDMI. On ne voit pas beaucoup de test de cet adaptateur avec la Neo Geo, principalement que des retours pour la Megadrive. Donc voilà c'est fait. Prévoyez une alimentation de qualité avec anti-parasites. Perso j'ai opté pour une 5V 10A + inverseur de polarité (attention de bien faire gaffe à la polarité sur les prises alim des AES) acheté sur amazon également.

Marche parfaitement, conforme à la description

Funciona tal y como esperaba. La instalación es muy sencilla y permite conectar la Sega Mega Drive a una televisión moderna mediante HDMI sin complicaciones. La imagen se ve bien y el sonido es correcto. Una solución muy recomendable para seguir disfrutando de los juegos clásicos en pantallas actuales. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I'll give credit where it's due, the image is actually really clear and sharp which is awesome to see. However image quality isn't consistent, the colours are completely washed out. All of the wonderful vibrate colour pallet is completely destroyed when using this adapter. If you're playing Sonic2, forget about playing split screen. Unplayable as it's all scrambled. With the unplayable split screen and the colours all wash out, this is a hard pass and return. Save your money and get something else.
