I like rotating probiotics, with the idea of over time supporting a good variety of microbes in my gut. In that respect, this is a specialty one. It deviates from the way more common strains, to focus on strains like L. plantarum and L. reuteri, which are thought to be more oriented towards the gut-brain connection and are not as commonly found in the more mainstream probiotic supplements.While I cannot say that I felt something special in my mood or overall brain clarity taking this, it is important to realize that such an effect would probably take some time to establish. During that time, or rather, at all times, it is also important to feed these bacteria - yes, I see that the capsules come with *some* prebiotics (bacteria food), but nothing can substitute for a good diet there.Now, at the current price of $55 for a month's supply, it is not a cheap supplement, but, to be fair, good probiotics are expensive. Given that the strains are a bit rare, and not the stuff that one can easily expect to get from food, I'd say that it might well be worth it - especially within my strategy of changing my probiotic every month to rotate the strains I get. The strains contained certainly have a place in my rotation.

The bottle contains a lot of information, such as how this supplement is manufactured in the USA, information about the company, that each serving contains 25 Billion Live Cultures from 6 strains of Probiotics, to store this probiotic at temperatures no greater than 71F and that it’s best to refrigerate it, etc. The bottle contains 30 capsules and the suggested serving is 1 capsule once a day, so 30 servings per bottle.Each Capsule contains:350mg – Probiotic Blend (25 Billion Live Cultures):- Lactobacillus plantarum K21- Lactobacillus paracasei PS23 (Heat Treated)- Lactobacillus paracasei Rosell-215- Lactobacillus reuteri Rosell-444- Lactobacillus helveticus Rosell-52- Bifidobacterium infantis Rosell-3375mg - Prebiotic Blend- NeoGOS (Galactooligosaccharides)- Actazin (Kiwi Fruit Powder)- Chicory Root PowderThe capsules are of a typical size, are easy for me to swallow. I’ve been taking these probiotics early after waking, with my morning shake/smoothie thing, and I haven’t noticed anything out of the ordinary. I also take everyday a Saccharomyces Boulardii product, it’s a yeast that survives stomach acid well, which has helped me a lot over the years, though it is more of a preventative, “Prebiotic/Probiotic”. I also take probiotics daily and sometimes I change certain probiotics I take that accompany the Saccharomyces Boulardii.This, “MicroVita Mood” probiotic supplement features 6 strains that are supposed to help with, well, a person’s mood. I looked over the information on the Fenix Health Science website’s listing for this product and it mentions that these 6 strains of probiotics are supposed to help support proper dopamine and serotonin regulation. The company’s website has a lot more information as to studies that have been done with the 6 particular strains of probiotics in this supplement.I’ve been taking this MicroVita Mood supplement for a week and I can’t say I’ve noticed much difference in mood, however it does seem to be a decent probiotic and there was some thought to the strains chosen for it. I’ll continue taking the supplement until the capsules are gone, and if I notice anything different with my mood I’ll update this review.

I really haven't noticed much of a difference while taking these. The pills are easy to swallow and I like that you only have to take 1 pill a day. They seems like they are high quality capsules and the ingredients. I haven't had any negative effects with taking these. I will continue to finish the bottle I have but will not purchase more as I simply can't afford them :(!

I was intrigued with this offering as not only is it a pre and pro biotic with some quality strains it also is advertised to help with other issues a memory, sleep and of course gut health which is my primary driver to take this type of product. I received a fresh dated sealed bottle with an expiration of June 2024, these are made in the USA in a GMP certified facility and the bottle also has an FDA registered facility label. The recommended dose is one capsule per day and you receive 30 capsules. They are average sized, easy to swallow, noted no taste or aftertaste and no gastric distress. I did not have any gastric flare ups since taking these and will continue taking. I can't speak to mood or serotonin levels but think it helps as there is a gut/brain connection and this formulation addresses that. I see that there is an additional FOCUS product and suggest you alternate months taking each for maximum benefits.
