Nice and cheap, easy to use

I managed to change six slates on my roof. ...
I managed to change six slates on my roof. Although the slate ripper is an deal tool for this job, I found that my fragile slates were held by large galvanized nails that were too big to snap off with the ripper. I needed to use a hacksaw to saw through the nails. The ripper helped to remove the remaining parts of the nails and ease the replacement slates back into place.

Handle broke off on first day of use
Handle broke off today on first day of use, handle is poor quality and definitely won’t be buying that kind of ripper again!

Worked perfectly
This tool worked really well once I got the knack, I only needed to change 10-15 tiles so I can't comment on long term durability.

Kind of gets the job done
Striaght of the box it's alot bigger than I first thought so was kind of expecting to make some modifications. Have used it on a couple of jobs not for me. First of all the length is an issue by time your locked onto a nail and start to hammer just bounces up and down and comes loose which comes to my 2nd issue the grooves for nails are not quite right. Thirdly the rubber handle came off within 20 seconds so now becomes difficult to grip on too. Gets the job done but not with ease so gets a generous 3 stars

Cheap ripper
Ok but the handle is a cheap rubber sleeve that slips off in use. Not as good as my prev ripper.

Seems well constructed and durable. Easy to pull or cut copper nails. Looks easy to sharpen if needed as well.

Naht gebrochen
Der Griff ist leider bereits nach nicht einmal 2m² bei der Schweisnaht abgebrochen. Habe das Produkt leider viel zu früh vor dem Einsatz gekauft und kann diesen nicht mehr zurück geben. Form passt für Eindeckungen mit Platten.

this tool is a very well made but not cheap or cheaply made shingle tool, it was not as sharp as i thought it would be but a few file strokes and it was ready to go to work. also, fairly priced,
