If you knew me, you would be impressed. I cannot grow anything (or keep it alive). On a whim, I decided I wanted an Aerogarden. Then I looked at the price - ouch, a little more than I wanted to spend on a whim. I literally ONLY bought this particular hydroponic garden system for 3 reasons: 1) The black and wood look match my camper, which is where I want to use it; 2) It held 12 pods, which seemed a better option than holding less; 3) The price fit my "whim" and wouldn't cause me to cry if I didn't end up trying to grow things. I ended up purchasing 2 of them (as you see in the photos) and may now be getting a 3rd. Everything you see growing is also from the inbloom plant kits (passion salsa and the salad kits). I have lettuce, chard, tomatoes, cucumbers, spinach, chili peppers, green/yellow/purple peppers, wild cabbage, and 4 other things started that I can't recall off the top of my head. I put all the seeds into the unit on 5/30/25 to germinate. The first pic, dated 6/8 shows how fast everything started up and popped some of their little hats. Then I have 6/14 and 6/22 pics, just because I happened to take them and could share. None of peppers, or the spinach have germinated though, so likely a seed thing, grrrrr. Anyhow the pump is quite, the lights are working and doing their weird cycles, and the water level bobber thing are very helpful. It is easy to top of your water with the front access hole, cap off unused pods spots with the provided covers, and adjust the light up and down as your plants grow. I have sampled my lettuces and they taste great, and I am now even watching the pH and EC of my water. I am really impressed by these little units, though I have nothing to compare them to help you there. The black is nice, just plastic as you would expect. The bottom "wood" look is a bit more yellowy than I like, and is obviously NOT wood, but it keeps it from being boring. All components are pretty easy to clean as well. Very excited for my new hobby and the chance to throw away less produce than I have been lately. Not sure how feeding myself on this volume could ever be realistic, BUT you have to start somewhere!

I love this little grow system! I’ve been dedicating more time to cooking lately and like to use fresh herbs. I’m an avid houseplant keeper, and figured I’d try my hand at growing edible plants indoors since the weather is cooling off. I ordered this as part of prime’s deal days or whatever it was called that took place at the beginning of October. Setup was very straightforward and quick. I really like that the light has an adjustable height. The instructions do say that they recommend you grow the same thing in all of the ports….but I’ve never been one to follow all the rules lol. I have a different plant in each port, which may or may not backfire with differing grow rates and light needs. The instructions also say you’re supposed to change the water weekly, but I’m planning on changing it once per month and will adjust as needed. Overall, I’m very pleased with this purchase. The light is strong- I have this sitting in an area that doesn’t get much natural light and yet the plants are growing so well. It doesn’t take up too much space and looks like it will last me a long time. I’d definitely recommend this if you’re interested in taking your first steps into hydroponics without having to make too much of an investment or buying a bunch of supplies.

So where do I start. First of all I have no green thumb whatsoever, I’ve killed a cactus okay let’s get real here. I’ve been wanting to grow a garden at home but either wild life gets to my seedlings or I’m just to involved in my own life that I forget to take care of them so there’s that. The ladies I work with have their own hydroponic systems in their office and told me to get one and try it out. So here I was looking on Amazon searching high and low reading reviews etc. I came across this company, InBloom, and honestly what caught my eye was the super adorable rounded design of the whole system and the nice wood accent at the bottom with white and black color options, also couldn’t beat the price. So I placed my order and sat around staring out the window when it’ll be delivered, okay not really but I’m sure yall can relate. The day finally came I unboxed it all and it was super easy to put together mix all the plant food. It was great it came in with everything but the seeds, no biggie. So the pictures you see within a couple of days my seeds popped greenies, then within a week I had plants, then another week they grew taller the last few pics you see is all within a week they shot up so quickly I had to raise the light, yes it goes up and down! The buttons are easy to read and I just pushed the power on button and pressed vegetables setting and off these little seedlings went. Also I have to say the silent pump is awesome, it threw me in for a loop at first because I didn’t know it was working as you can’t hear it. Overall I am so satisfied with this product and also their customer service is on point! I was having issues registering my product warranty and they were like no problem send us your screen shot of order and email phone number and we got you covered. So needless to say I am DEFINITELY purchasing from inbloom and probably going to get another hydroponic set up from them! 5 stars all day!

I’ve tested both the 5-pod and 10-pod Inbloom smart gardens and they both offer great value for anyone not wanting to spend a lot of money on tabletop hydroponic gardens. The 5-pod garden is cute and well-designed. It feels like a step ahead of the larger garden in some design aspects, but the 10-pod garden fills an important role, too. The LED light panel and extending arm in the 5-pod garden are better than the 10-pod garden. The range of heights goes from zero (really!) up to 17 inches. The 10-pod LED panel only provides a minimum of 7” from the deck, which is a disadvantage for seedlings. When starting seeds, the ability to lower the LEDs to a few inches above the plants may make the difference between leggy plants stretching for light and bushy plants. They’ve also designed the extending arm of the LED panel with all the wiring inside the arm as opposed to the slightly unsightly wires outside the arm of the larger garden. The maximum height of the arm in the 5-pod garden is 17” so herbs, lettuces, greens, and most flowers will be fine, but I wouldn’t use this for fruiting plants like tomatoes, peppers, or cucumbers. There are some varieties of dwarf plants that would fit under the 17” maximum height, but I would suggest the larger garden, with the larger reservoir, for that type of plant. I grew shishito peppers in the 10-pod garden and was glad to have the 21” of space that garden provided, as the plants reached that height easily. The small reservoir in the 5-pod garden will need to be refilled regularly and they recommend adding nutrients with every top-up. This is a good workaround for the lack of a “add nutrients” automatic reminder found in the name-brand gardens. The water-level indicator in the small garden is more elegant than the one found on the 10-pod version but both do the job. The 5-pod garden does not have a drain plug, so you have to tip out the water in this model. One concern I have with both gardens is how they use the pump to stir the nutrient water rather than actively oxygenating it. Plant roots need oxygen and the AG name-brand gardens pump the nutrient water over the roots, giving them water, nutrients, and oxygen. The dissolved O2 level in the water increases as the water splashes. Some hydroponic gardens use an air pump and air stone instead of a water pump to increase the oxygen levels. Inbloom has chosen a more passive approach and while this makes for a very quiet garden without any splashing sounds, I don’t think the dissolved O2 level in the water will be much higher than in stagnant water. So far, the plants I’m growing in both gardens don’t seem to be suffering, but I think they would thrive with even more oxygen. The 90° elbow on the pump of the 10-pod garden is removable which will increase splashing. If the sound doesn’t bother you, I recommend pulling this elbow off as it will slightly increase the dissolved oxygen level of the water. Both the 5-pod and 10-pod gardens take a low-tech approach to the “smart” features. The lights come on in a repeated 24-hour cycle based on when you first turn them on; they aren’t programmable to come on at a specific time of day. There are no on-screen setup instructions. There is no “add nutrients” reminder every 2 weeks, as mentioned previously. However, these extras aren’t needed for plants to grow and the cost savings may be worthwhile for many growers. The instructions and reference card for the 5-pod garden are excellent, a little better than the 10-pod garden, in fact. All the extra supplies (domes, covers, fertilizer, etc) are high quality. The big-name brand gardens ship with pre-planted pods and Inbloom’s pods are ready to add your own seeds. If you want to purchase the overpriced pods from the other brand ($2-4 per pod), they’re interchangeable with the Inbloom pods, but it’s more cost-effective to plant your own seeds and purchase the replacement pods in bulk (about 25¢ per pod). This also allows you to grow the infinite variety of plants available in seed packs as opposed to only the varieties that AG produces. I use these hydroponic gardens as seed starters; once the seeds germinate and have a few leaves, I plant the pods in my outside garden which is less expensive than purchasing six-packs at the nursery. It’s great to see competition in this market. Inbloom is offering a high-value alternative for indoor hydroponic gardens. They have made some cost-cutting design decisions that will not affect plant growth and may make these gardens more accessible to more people. The gardens look great and perform well.

It's tough to find fresh basil in the Winter so I ordered this hydroponic appliance manufactured by Inbloom. I also ordered one for a friend as a gift. 3 months later we have Sweet Basil and Thyme in abundance. The Rosemary has a good start, as well. The appliance includes a grow light with adjustable height settings. It also includes a pump for water circulation. In addition, the kit includes 10 seed pods, liquid plant food and stakes to keep plants vertical. It is extremely easy to set up. We soaked the pods (a sponge-like container) and dropped a few seed into each pod. The roots grow through the pod and into the water in the unit. Once set up, just wait for the seeds to germinate and plants to grow. As the plants grow larger, they soak up more water...so just keep an eye on that and add water mixed with included liquid plant food when necessary. Practically foolproof! Inbloom prides itself on excellent customer service although I doubt you'll have reason to contact them. Inbloom followed up with me to be certain I was happy with my purchase. I am happy. The results are outstanding. We're about to plant these herbs outside for the Summer and I'lll be planting a fresh crop! And going to give chives a shot. I'll buy the larger 2024 12 pod unit for my daughter.

I purchased this product to try something new as I needed a new hydroponic growing system for growing salad greens in our kitchen. Here are a few things I like about this smart garden compared with my other ones: 1. The water tank is huge! Each refill of the water tank lasts at least 2 weeks for me. Hydroponics growing is easy because it's basically automatic. The large water tank makes this even more so, just fill up water every 2 weeks and you're done. 2. Low water level alarm: There's an alert that tells you to refill. This is the first smart garden I've used with this feature and I gotta say, it's very helpful. With my other gardens, some times I have low water level anxiety, but never with this one. 3. Light is bright: I can tell the lighting is very strong with this growing system. It's definitely bright enough to illuminate even large mature plants. It's also easy to turn off when you need to, and it automatically turns back on the next day. 4. Design: Looks sleep on the countertop (see photo attached) 5. Water release valve makes it easy to empty the water tank without having to take the entire garden to the sink. I'm very happy with this purchase. If you're serious about hydroponics growing, I'd suggest getting this system as it's one of the most usable, highest quality ones around.

This garden is great! I actually bought two! Your plants will grow fairly quickly. I had huge lettuce and basil plants within a few months Once they start getting really big, you do have to refill the water tank A LOT! And if you forget and the level gets too low, it will beep loudly literally nonstop until you fill it back up, which is super annoying. The lights an also very bright. If I had to sleep anywhere near it, I probably wouldn’t be able to stand the lights on this. Other than that, great product and very easy to use.

I absolutley Love our kitchen garden.. Truly fun to watch. What a nice addition to our kitchen and the light at night, weird how this little garden grower is a multi function machine. I loved it so much, I bought two more for my mom and my mother in law for Christmas Gifts, such a fun little thing, a garden in the kitchen... My only tiny gripe is I wish the light post raised higher to accomodate the growing plants. I am anxious to see the fruit the pkants produce, so far the plants are growing wonderfully!!! I recommend and if ya get one, ENJOY!!!

Not had a chance to use the machine because it came only with a US plug, which I believe is a breach of the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1987.
